20XX presentation title 5 The Strengths and Weaknesses of the Filipino Character are rooted in factors, such as; Home Environment Filipino children are taught to value family and give it primary importance. Educational System Is also instrumental in molding the strengths and weaknesses of the Filipino character. School is where children learn to be well-behave and obedient students. The Filipino is also religious.
20XX presentation title 6 The Strengths and Weaknesses of the Filipino Character are rooted in factors, such as; Religion Taught us to be resilience; however, it is also instilled in us a fatalistic attitude. Since religious communities are also high authoritarian, this further reinforces our being passive and Economic Environment T he hard life drove Filipinos to work hard and take risks, such as leaving our families to work abroad and this further developed our ability to survive.
20XX presentation title 7 The Strengths and Weaknesses of the Filipino Character are rooted in factors, such as; Political Environment unfortunately, political environment and government structures and systems are fraught with problems. For instance, the fact that political power mainly in the hands of the elite, and the absence of a strong government presence enhances the Filipino’s already extreme family centeredness. The economic and political environments are among the elements that developed the culture of corruption in the Philippines. Mass Media reinforce our colonial mentality? Why did you notice about the ads, movies, fashion, etc. shown on TV, aired over the radio, printed in the newspaper/magazines, or gone viral online? These were greatly based on American pop culture. This emphasis on the superiority well in fact it is part of Filipino’s daily life. Since Filipinos highly respected authority, we can lean on ours.
20XX presentation title 8 The Strengths and Weaknesses of the Filipino Character are rooted in factors, such as; Leader and Role Model any person with authority is looked up to. Thus, when or leaders violate the law and when there is lack of accountability for the leaders who break the law, the Filipinos mindset is hugely affected in a negative way.
Strengths of the Filipino character FAMILY ORIENTATION . has given Filipinos a sense of belonging and security. Filipinos are also careful and fun-loving. JOY AND HUMOR . we laugh at those we love and hate, and we make jokes about our good and bad fortune. FLEXIBILITY, ADAPTABILITY AND CREATIVITY. are the reasons many Filipinos thrive in various parts of the world. HARD WORK AND INDUSTRY . this trait is most noticeable in our willingness to take risks and work in the other country. FAITH AND RELIGIOUSLY. this can be related to our bahalana mindset for Filipinos. The bahalana attitude could serve as a " kickstarter " or " pampalakas loob " ABILITY TO SURVIVE or " matutong mamaluktot habang maikli ang kumot " aptly depicts our survival instinct.
Weaknesses of the Filipino Character Filipinos function in the world by personally relating to things, events, and people. We find it difficult to separate objectives tasks from emotional involvement. This where the palakasan system springs from that. Filipinos want to get special treatment and always look for “ inside connections ” in most of his or her transactions. Since personal contracts are involved, requesting of this nature also become a difficult a turn down, EXTREME PERSONALISM is another element that has led to the prevalence a graft and corruption in the country. EXTREME FAMILY-CENTEREDNESS is also a flaw. it is defined as manifested in our political system where political dynasties lord over our elected government post starting from barangay level to the national positions. 20XX presentation title 10
Weaknesses of the Filipino Character LACK OF DISCIPLINE is characterized by our idiomatic expression “ nigas cogon” projects start out with full enthusiasm and interest, but no sooner has it started that the enthusiasm and interest just as soon die down. “Filipino Time”. We known for always late, we arrive late, or we start late. Filipinos have very high respect for authority. Unfortunately, this also led to general PASSIVITY and LACKING INITIATIVE , for instance , there is s strong reliance on leaders and the government the nations problems, but ordinarily, Filipinos also do not feel the need to initiate of contribute to the solution, 20XX presentation title 11
Weaknesses of the Filipino Character COLONIAL - MENTALITY connected to our general feelings of inferiority, where we think foreigners especially westerners, are superior. THE KANYA -KANYA SYNDROME is related to Filipino traits of extreme personalism and extreme family centeredness. LACK OF SELF - ANALYSIS AND SELF - REFLECTION is the expression that Filipino's are " madalingmakalimot "or have a short memory. BAYANIHAN is important is that we know our values as nation because these help us grow and develop our community . 20XX presentation title 12
