The assurance came during a one-on-one meeting with Keiichi Ono, the
Ambassador of Japan, at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit. The discussion
focused on the progress of social and industrial infrastructure within the Dholera
Special Investment Region (DSIR), a key area being developed to attract global
industries — including the rapidly growing semiconductor sector.

CM Patel reaffirmed that Japan has been a consistent and trusted partner since the
inaugural edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. He also highlighted Gujarat’s
proactive approach in preparing skilled manpower for upcoming industries through
specialized training programs and institutions like PDEU (Pandit Deendayal
Energy University).

Ambassador Ono appreciated the state government’s continuous support for
Japanese companies operating in Gujarat. He also acknowledged the collaborative
efforts between both sides to strengthen industrial growth and enhance investment
opportunities in the region.
