2. SOCIAL STUDIES Integrated study of the social sciences and humanities to promote civic competence. The set of concepts related, but not limited to history, geography, economics, and the study of cultures. It is a course developed by using the disciplines of social science and taught in primary and secondary schools.

3. SOCIAL SCIENCE A branch of science that deals with the institutions and functioning of human society and with the interpersonal relationships of individuals as members of society . A science (such as economics or political science) dealing with a particular phase or aspect of human society . Social Science is a branch of Social Studies.

4. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE The objective of the study of social studies is to promote a healthy citizenry. On the other hand, social science is a subject that deals with the study of social life of people or groups of individuals. Social Science divided into many branches while Social studies diveded into two main branches which is the study of humanities and social science.

THE MAIN DIFFERENCE Social Science provide a coordinated systematic study of a number of disciplines such as economics, geography, history, on the other hand, social studies help children learned to make informed and reasoned decisions fo the public good of citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society and interdependence world. Social Science deals with the science of society utilizing the gathering of data and analysis of the data. Whereas, Social Studies normally deals with the observation of the society.

6. SUMMARIZATION So basically the main difference of the two is Social Studies main goal is to teach students to become good citizens and civic competent. While, Social Science is the study on how people interact with each other.
