GULF
Gulf (Khaleej) is a portion of sea that penetrates into land or a deep inlet of the sea almost surrounded
by land, with a narrow mouth, as gulf of mexico.
BAY
Bay is like gulf but typically smaller than gulf.
STRAIT
a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two other large areas of water is called strait.
PENINSULA
a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water is called peninsula.
Estuary
FJORD
a long, narrow, deep inlet of the sea between high cliffs, as in Norway, typically formed by submergence
of a glaciated valley is called fjord(Fiord).
