2. E-GOVERNMENT
• Generally internet services haven’t developed a lot. They make it
available to make appointments and still require a physical
presence.

3. DIGITAL ILLITERACY
• In Serbia only 2 million people use digital government services.
This is because the average age of a Serbian citizen is 43.8 years.
Many old people are digitaly illiterate.
• Other factors that contribute to this are government not doing
enough for the uneducated. Similarly, lack of private and public
investments hinder the digitalization of Serbia.

6. CYBERATTACKS ON SERBS
•More than 10 false bomb alerts –Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade,6 shopping
centers, 2 student dormitories and a Zoo.
•NCSI (National Cyber Security Index): Serbia is 51st
•In 2020 “Informatics system” became a victim of a serious hacker attack. Significant
damage to the city’s IT infrastructure had serious consequences, including the disabling the
city’s video surveillance network; disabling access to email for employees of city services
and stopping the operation of toll booths. In the same year, the population’s health
databases was available to ever-present

7. CYBER CRIME REGULATIONS

• Serbia has a network called Cyber Security Network. Its aim is to be the
bridge between techonogical community and decision-makers in politics; to
serve as a platform for discussion and implementing activities pointing to
improvement of cyber security in Serbia.
“Smart and safe” is a national contact center for child safety on the Internet.
You can contact the center via email or 24h available call center.
“Safe Kids”: the parents are educated on how to protect their children living in
this new age of techonolgy.
Cyber Security courses are available to all citizens.

9. LIQUID TREES
Dr. Ivan Spasojevic, Ph.D. in Biophysical sciences, and one of the authors
on the project from the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research at the
University of Belgrade, developed an innovative tool for reducing
greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality: the liquid tree. Also
dubbed LIQUID 3, the novel creation is Serbia’s first urban photo-
bioreactor, a solution in the fight for clean air. It contains six hundred litres
of water and works by using microalgae to bind carbon dioxide and
produce pure oxygen through photosynthesis.

10. STRAWBERRY TREES
The Strawberry Trees are the world’s first public solar chargers for mobile
devices. They were developed by Serbian company Strawberry Energy. They
won first place in the European Commission’s "Sustainable energy week 2011"
competition in Brussels, in the category Consuming. Strawberry Trees are a
solar and WiFi stations which are permanently installed in public places such
as streets, parks and squares, providing passersby with the opportunity to
charge their mobile devices for free when they are outside.

11. 3LATERAL
When game innovation company 3Lateral started out in 2012, it had
three employees but a big ambition to develop the gaming industry in
Serbia. Ten years later, the company has more than 140 employees and
plans to build a brand new gaming campus that would serve the
country’s thriving gaming ecosystem. 3Lateral develops tech game
innovations that enable digitization of human appearance and motion
with a very high fidelity.
