Lesson 2: Anthropology

Motivation Activity (Guess Me!)

For each group, there would be a picture of a cultural artifact assigned. Observe and write down what you think each artifact is used for and take a guess of the culture that created it . No using of phones for this activity.

Group 1 Group 2

Group 3 Group 4

Group 5 Group 6

GUIDE QUESTIONS: What do you think the artifact is? And what do you think it is used for? Do you think there is a modern counterpart to this cultural artifact? If Yes, what do you think is it? If No, why? Why do you think museums preserve these kinds of cultural artifacts? As a Jamer , in what way can you preserve our culture?

Lesson Activity (Round Table)

Using the pictures in the motivation activity, search for more details about the cultural artifact and its significance to the culture that created it . You may use your phones.

GUIDE QUESTIONS: What were you able to find out about the cultural artifact? Do you think this cultural artifact is a representation of the culture it came from? If these were found long ago, why do we still have the need to learn about it ?
