DISK AND FILE OPERATIONS BY: Muhammad Moryal CS-0122-047
DISK OPERATIONS: It is responsible for organizing, creating, and deleting files stored on a disk, as well as managing the available disk space . Imagine your computer's storage like a big filing cabinet. Disk operations are like actions you do with that filing cabinet : Writing : This is putting a new file or updating an existing one in the cabinet. Your computer takes data from its memory and saves it to storage. Reading : It's like opening a drawer to find a file. Your computer finds and brings the needed data from storage into its memory (like your desk).
FILE OPERATIONS: Creation : Making a new file is like creating a new document or folder in your filing cabinet. You give it a name and set aside space for it. Opening : Just like opening a document on your computer, opening a file means your computer gets ready to read, write, or change it. Reading : Reading a file is like looking at the content of a document. Your computer Fetch the data from the file so you can use it. Writing : When you edit a document and save it, that's like writing to a file. Your computer takes what you've changed and updates the file with it. Closing : Closing a file is like finishing with a document and closing it on your computer. It frees up space and tells your computer you're done with it.
