2. Arctic Monkeys They are a rock band (English), also known as Death Ramps Founded in Sheffield, England in 2002. Band consists of following members:- Current Members Alex Turner (guitar, keyboard, lead vocals) Jamie Cook (keyboards, guitar) Nick O’Malley (backing vocals, bass guitar) Matt Helders (backing vocals, drums) Former Member Andy Nicholson (backing vocals, bass guitar) People associated with the band are often called Monkeys.

3. Alex Turner Full Name – Alexander David Turner Born On – 6 th January 1986 He is lead vocal of Arctic Monkeys rock band and plays guitar. At the age of 16, along with three friends they formed rock band Arctic Monkeys. He has also recorded songs as a solo artist and with The Last Shadow Puppets (side project). When Turner was in high school, his teacher characterized him as student who was good at sports instead of music.

4. Jamie Cook Full Name – Jamie Robert Cook Born On – 8 th July 1985 Due to his instrumental nature, plays guitar and keyboards for Arctic Monkeys. He was neighbor of fellow band member Alex Turner. His importance to the band behind the scenes can be indicated by understanding how he helped Alex Turner convert his potential solo records into bona fide for Arctic Monkeys. He is also known as Cookie and likes indie music, enjoying Queens of The Stone Age, Oasis, The Smiths.

5. Nick O’Malley Full Name – Nicholas Edward O’Malley Born On – 5 th July 1985 Plays bass guitar and performs backing vocals for Arctic Monkeys. He joined Arctic Monkeys in 2006 as temporary replacement of former member Andy Nicholson, while he was working at ASDA (supermarket chain). Also played bass guitar for garage rock band The Dodgems before joining Arctic Monkeys.

(Alex fears that he cannot shift the type and gets paranoid about how he doesn’t want to be like unwanted food that sticks around teeth.) (Alex uses idiom “having an aces up your sleeves” meaning if someone has advantage over other person that they don’t know about. Alex assumes that she is keeping something deep advantage our him. Means she is the one to decide whether or not to be in relationship) (Alex is obsessed with her and even thinks about her in his dreams. Alex is trying to explain secrets of relationships by telling how he desires his crush would share secrets with him, but he is also aware of keeping secrets from her.)

Also he is anxious about he might know the answer as he is feeling optimistic about the answer he would get.) 14. Do I Wanna Know? – Better Understanding (Crawling word indicates how helpless and desperate he is and cannot think of anything else except her crush, even though he feels pain.) (Alex now is realizing that he can recover from this situation by starting relationship with someone else, yet he decides to not to.) So have you got the guts? VERSE 2 Been wonderin ` if your heart’s still open And if so, I wanna know what time it shuts Simmer down an`pucker up, I`m sorry to interrupt It’s just I’m constantly on the cusp of tryin ` to kiss you I don’t know if you feel the same as I do But we could be together if you wanted to (Alex is trying to dare her now by asking her to come back. Alex is now metaphorically comparing her crush’s heart with shop by asking her whether her heart is still open or not and if so when does shut.) (Out of desperation Alex interrupts her by trying to kiss her, as a last attempt to make her love again.) (Alex is not sure if she feels the same way he does and mentions that offer is still available is she wants to be together.)

I love how he composes songs with unique collection of words, rhyming perfectly with each other. Another reason for selecting this song is that I can relate it with myself. I can perfectly relate my feelings and emotions to this song. I can define my phase of life with this song.
