01 INTRODUCTION Presents the study's background, introduces the topic and goals, and provides an overview of the paper. 05 R esults & discussion The results section comprises brief reports of what we got after the experiment. Conversely, the discussion section interprets the results and what it means in our study. 04 METHODOLOGY Represents the research method used, a description of the researcher’s process and procedure. 06 conclusion and reccomendation Conclusions are abstractions generated from the findings that answer the specific questions. Recommendations, on the other hand, are suggestive statements that put the research findings into practical utility of the stakeholders . 02 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM Defines and describes the research hypothesis or question(s), as well as the general method to be used to solve the problem. 03 Significance of the study Presents the importance of the research. It gives opportunity to prove the study’s impact on the field of research, the new knowledge it contributes, and the people who will benefit from it
Cymbopogon also known as lemongrass has not only gives benefits to the human beings from relieving pain and swelling, reduces fever and having antioxidant properties but also for other plants. Lemongrass can be used as a pesticide for it has an active ingredient that are primarily as an anti-fungal agent in post-harvest handling and as an insect repellant as well as the Garlic (Allium sativum) a species of bulbous flowering plant in the genus Allium. On the other hand, Okra or Abelmoschus esculentus, known in many English-speaking countries as ladies' fingers or ochro , is a flowering plant in the mallow family. It has edible green seed pods.Okra is also high in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants, which help lower the risk of serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. It is also easy to plant and take care of but it is prone from insect pests attack. INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION For that reason, this research aims to prove how effective the Lemongrass and Garlic as a pesticide to Okra that is prone to be attack of insect pests.
This study seeks to answer the following questions: 1. How effective is the Lemongrass and Garlic's extracts in Okra in terms of 1.1. stem of the plant 1.2 roots of the plant 1.3. leaves of the plant Statement of the problem
This study seeks to answer the following questions: 2. How long does it takes to remove the pest when the lemongrass and garlic's extract is sprayed in the Okra? 3. What is the effect of pesticides in the plant's environment? Statement of the problem
methodology PREPARATION PROCESS OUTPUT PREPARE THE FOLLOWING :
methodology PREPARATION PROCESS OUTPUT Procedure: Step 1. Prepare the following Step 2. Wash the Lemongrass Step 3. Remove the unwanted parts and cut the lemongrass into small pieces Step 4. Peel off the garlic and chopped into pieces Step 5. Use the mortar and pestle to grind the garlic and lemongrass Step 6. Poor 60 ml of hot water to the grinded garlic and lemongrass. Let it soaked for about 5 minutes Step 7. Transfer the mixture to the spray bottle using a piece of cloth Step 8. Shake well until the plant's extracts combine together Step 9. Spray it to the Okra
The researchers created this organic insect killer from Lemongrass in order to create an environmental friendly substance. Since pollution is threatening our environment. One of these pollutions is in the air. We are all aware that the majority of insecticides and pesticides used today contain those dangerous chemicals. Natural pesticides have many advantages over synthetic ones and may be more cost-effective as a whole, considering the environmental cost of chemical alternatives. Natural pesticides are biodegradable, barely leave residues in the soil and are less likely to harm humans or animals. Kalia (2011). S ignificance of the study
3. What is the effect of pesticides in the plant's environment? Since we use an organic pesticide to remove the pest in the plant, there is no harmful effect in terms of plant's environment. It is one of the benefits of using an organic pesticide . 2. How long does it takes to remove the pest when the lemongrass and garlic's extract is sprayed in the Okra? It takes about 6 days to remove the pest when the lemongrass and garlic's extract is sprayed in the Okra. 1.1. stem of the plant We can say that it is effective because the stem of the plant didn't get any damage coming from insect's attack 1.2 roots of the plant We believed that our organic pesticide is effective because our plant grows healthily 1.3. leaves of the plant We believed that our organic pesticide is effective in the leaves of the plant because we totally eliminate the insects that are present in the plant. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION 1. How effective is the Lemongrass and Garlic's extracts in Okra in terms of
RESULT AND DISCUSSION OBSERVATION
Recommendation The researchers only conducted this research for only a few weeks. Therefore, we recommend that it is better to allot more time performing this research. The researchers also recommend to use the lemongrass' extract not only for Okra but also for other plant because it has an active ingredient that are primarily as an anti-fungal agent in post-harvest handling and as an insect repellant. Conclusion This study aims to find out how effective does the Lemongrass and Garlic extract to the Okra. After a few days of using the organic pesticide the pest or insects slowly disappears. Thus, we believed that our organic pesticide is an effective insect repellant. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
