Effective Powerpoint presentation

1. BY BALASRI PRASAD K B.Sc(KU), M.B.A(OU), NET(UGC) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN MANAGEMENT HOW TO PREPARE EFFECTIVE PPT PRESENTATION

2. Prepare draft of PPT on paper. First slide should be “ TITLE ” on the top and “ Name of the Presenter ” at the bottom along with identification based on how audience can recognize .

3. Second slide can be used to explain about the topic-meaning, nature and characteristics etc,. Next slides will present “Main Body of the PPT”.

4. Last but one slide should be “ Any Queries ” which gives open offer to audience to ask questions. Last Slide should be “ Thank You ”.

5. After preparing draft, prepare PPT using MS- Powerpoint . Use appropriate examples if required. (Photographs, Sounds, Videos can be used.)

6. Then practice “ Virtual presentation ”.  While practicing Virtual presentation focus should be on:-  Content  Context  Expectations of the audience and  Terminology which audience can understand.

7. Body language should be given utmost care. Wide Spectrum of aspects to be analyzed for in-depth information.

8. Must keep in mind that audience will be of two extremes i.e., With very good knowledge and With very less knowledge on the topic.

9. For a successful presentation, Actual Presentation should match with your Virtual Presentation. Never compare your presentation with others, but with your previous presentation.
