ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR Prepared by: Veronica Baje
What is an Electrical Conductor? An electrical conductor conducts electricity. The ability to conduct electricity is called electrical conductivity. In an electrical conductor, the electrical charges moves from atom to atom when the potential difference is applied across them. Most metals are electrical conductors.
Types of Electrical Conductors Plasma – the best type of electrical conductors. Semiconductors – type of conductors that can allow electricity to flow through but not as well as plasma electrical conductors. Resistors – type of conductors that makes electricity flow very difficult.
Conductors VS Insulators Conductors are materials that allow electricity, heat, or sound to pass through. Insulators are the opposite. Insulators does not allow passage of electricity, heat or sound.
