INTRODUCTION Electronic tongue – An analytical instrument that measures and compares tastes. Non-specific, low selective chemical sensors with cross-sensitivity to different components in solution. An appropriate method of pattern recognition or multivariate calibration for the data processing. Major interest-Assessment of the taste of oral drugs especially for pediatrics. 2 511. CONCLUSION Electronic tongues are emerging, promising and proved to be a valuable tool for assessing and predicting the taste of a wide range of products. It replaces human panels in routine analysis in pharmaceutical development and production . The exposure and risk of using human panel to test products is greatly reduced, permitting better analytical results to quickly define the best formulation and get the product to market. 12 511.
