Emotional AI for Relationship Support IDRAC 2025.pdf

This presentation featured Dr. Calongne as Lyr Lobo presenting and interviewing an AI agent represented by an avatar and featuring Pi.AI, a commercial, free emotional AI tool for relationship support. The IDRAC organizers requested the session to give the audience experience within a safe space and to evaluate the behavior of emotion AI.

After the presentation, the audience asked questions and Pi responded with a depth and range of compassion that was appreciated. The questions ranged to define the boundaries for emotion and companionship, and to express concerns over teen use and fragile users who might need professional support.
