Objective: Interpret the meaning suggested in visual media through a focus on visual elements.

To interpret the meaning of a certain visual media, we must consider its visual elements Visual Element Visual Element Visual Element: Line Symbol Space Color Gaze Frame Distance

1. Line Is a foundation of all drawings. It can be used to suggest shape, pattern, distance, movement and range of emotions. 5 Types of Lines: - Vertical - Horizontal -Diagonal -Zigzag -Curve

2. Space Refers to the area within, around, above or below an object or objects. 2 Types of Space: -Negative -Positive

- refers to areas w here the subject is positioned this is the area surrounding the subject Main Focus Background

3. Symbol A mark, sign or word that indicates an idea, object or relationships.

4. Color Visual Element that has the strongest effect on our emotions.

5. Gaze One way to convey meaning or message through an image because of how a figure is looking at something.

6. Distance The connection between the viewer and subject.

7. Framing Is the presentation of visual elements in an image, especially the placement of the subject in relation to other objects. A technique used to bring focus to a subject.
