E X A M P L E O F R E A C T I O N P A P E R : INTRODUCTION : The short story “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant left a deep impression on me because it shows the consequences of vanity and pride. The main character, Madame Loisel, was not content with her simple life and always dreamed of luxury. When she borrowed a necklace to attend a party, she thought it would give her the happiness she longed for. But after losing it, she and her husband suffered for ten years only to realize in the end that the necklace was fake.
B O D Y P A R A G R APH : My reaction to this story is mixed with pity and reflection. I felt pity for Madame Loisel because her life was wasted on paying for something that was not real. At the same time, I realized that being materialistic and discontented can destroy our happiness. The story teaches us to be grateful for what we have and to value contentment over appearances.
C O N C L U SION : “The Necklace” made me reflect on my own values. Happiness should not be based on wealth or status, but on simplicity, gratitude, and acceptance of life’s reality.

P A R A G R A P H 1 : While reading, I felt touched by how a small act of kindness made a huge difference in someone’s life. The woman did not know that her simple action would change the boy’s future. Later, when the boy became a doctor, he returned the kindness by saving the woman’s life and paying all her bills. This shows how good deeds never go to waste and how important it is to treat others with compassion. P A R A G R A P H 2 : The story “The Glass of Milk” is about a poor boy who asked for food but instead received a glass of milk from a kind woman. At first, the story seemed simple, but it carried a deeper meaning about kindness and gratitude.

P A R A G R A H 3 : i n _ _ _ _ _ _ the story reminded me that kindness has the power to change lives. Even the smallest good deed can grow into something greater. It inspired me to always help others, even in simple ways, because we never know how it may come back to us in the future.
