Sustainable development goals (SDG) The sustainable development goals are known as global goals are adopted by all United Nations (193) its states in 2015 as a universal call to action- to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 17 SDGs are integrated- that is they recognise that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social economic and environmental sustainability. Pledge- “ LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND”

INTRODUCTION OF SDG *EARTH SUMMIT- 1992 (BRAZIL- RIO DE JENERIO) *AFTER 20 YEARS- 2012 RIO+20 CONFERENCE Decided... kyoto protocol (till 2020) * KYOTO PROTOCOL –(till-31 Dec 2012)signed in Japan-Kyoto (purpose- reduce green house gas emmission ) *( NEW DEVELOPMENT AGENDA)/ AGENDA 2030 Resolution 17/1 Sep-2015: MDG ends and SDGs were adopted Thus SDG come in force on 1 st Jan 2016 (purpose- localizing the SDG goals) * AGENDA 2030 integrate all the “ 3 DIMENSIONS OFSUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” ECONOMIG GROWTH SOCIAL INCLUSION ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Restrict Use Of Renewable Resources Substitute Non-renewable With Renewable Resources Become Input Efficient Control Pollution Control The Growth Of Population Develop Environmental Ethics No citizen in earth can afford to be ignorant of environmental hazards
