Essay For Technology
Writing an essay on the topic of technology can be both fascinating and daunting. On one hand,
technology is a vast and rapidly evolving field with endless possibilities for exploration and
discussion. On the other hand, the breadth and depth of the subject matter can be overwhelming,
making it challenging to narrow down a specific focus or thesis.
One of the difficulties in writing such an essay is striking the right balance between breadth and
depth. It's tempting to try to cover every aspect of technology, from its historical development to
its current applications and future implications. However, attempting to encompass too much can
result in a superficial treatment of the topic, lacking the depth and detail necessary for a
compelling argument.
Furthermore, the pace of technological innovation means that new developments are constantly
emerging, potentially rendering any analysis outdated before it's even completed. Staying abreast
of the latest advancements and incorporating them into the essay adds an additional layer of
complexity and demands ongoing research and revision.
Another challenge is navigating the ethical and philosophical dimensions of technology. As
technology increasingly shapes every aspect of our lives, questions about its impact on society,
privacy, inequality, and the environment become increasingly pressing. Addressing these complex
issues requires careful consideration and critical thinking, as well as a willingness to grapple
with ambiguity and uncertainty.
Moreover, writing an essay on technology requires proficiency in both technical and rhetorical
skills. Communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively requires not only a deep
understanding of the subject matter but also proficiency in writing, research, and argumentation.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on technology offers the opportunity to explore a
fascinating and ever-evolving subject, it also presents a number of challenges. Striking the right
balance between breadth and depth, staying current with the latest developments, navigating
ethical and philosophical complexities, and mastering technical and rhetorical skills are just a few
of the hurdles that must be overcome. However, with dedication, perseverance, and a willingness
to engage with the complexities of the topic, crafting a compelling essay on technology is
certainly achievable.

The Diagnostic And Statistical Manual Of Mental
Disorders...
Numerous studies have been conducted on the diagnostic features and potential
definitions of autism, and the accompanying developmental, social and behavioral
deficits found in individuals diagnosed with autism. The various editions of the
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.; DSM 5; American
Psychiatric Association, 2013) have changed in their definitions and diagnostic
criteria of autismover time. In past editions, Autistic Disorder, Asperger s Disorder
and Pervasive Developmental Disorder were listed as separate disorders. However,
in the DSM 5, which is the current edition of the DSM, Autism Spectrum Disorder
(ASD) is the name of the disorder that encompasses the diagnostic features and
definitions of those three neurodevelopmental disorders. Individuals previously
diagnosed with any of those three disorders are now to be given the diagnosis of
ASD. The definition and diagnostic criteria of autism and other neurodevelopmental
disorders have changed so much over time because screening and diagnosing autism
is very difficult for a number of reasons, which will be more thoroughly discussed in
this paper. This paper will examine the diagnostic criteria, prevalence and risk
factors, most effective forms of treatment and intervention, and life impacts on
individuals and families of Autism Spectrum Disorder through the review of the
DSM 5 and several peer reviewed journal articles.
Diagnostic Criteria According to the DSM 5, there are several

Difference Between Mortgage And Mortgage
What Is Mortgage And Mortgage Refinancing ?
What is a Mortgage?
A mortgage is nothing more than a real estate loan. This loan is basically called as
a mortgage as it has some distinct characteristics. The mechanism of such a loan is
also pretty simple. A person who is looking forward to purchase property, can apply
to a mortgage lender. After receiving the application of the borrower, the lender
analyzes three important facts:
1. The property that is to be purchased with the help of the loan, its market value and
its current condition.
2. The second thing that is analyzed by the lender is the repaying capacity of the
applicant.
3. Some personal details of the applicant such as the spending habits (such as the use
of credit cards), educational qualifications, payment of taxes is also analyzed. If the
applicant has a family, then details of the family members such as their employment
status and income are also considered. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It means that in cases where the mortgage borrower is unable to repay the amount,
the lender can initiate a foreclosure and recover his losses.
What is Mortgage Refinancing ?
If it is comfortable to pay your mortgage and your bank is actively trying to keep
you as a customer by offering you special incentives, then you may not even want to
consider going this route. However, if you are finding that the monthly payments and
interest seem to be increasing or, are becoming more difficult to pay each month, then
this is definitely something you want to look at and only route is Mortgage
refinancing.
Mortgage refinancing refers to replacing existing mortgage at higher interest rate with
another mortgage with lower interest rate.
Will it not be wise to take the mortgage with lower interest rate in the first instance
and avoid this need to refinance the

Examples Of Life After Death
The Thought of life after death is comforting for some. For others, there is no life
after death. Human beings are the only animals on earth who understand they will
die, and throughout history have sought eternal life or that life will continue after
death (Stewart Williams). Steve Stewart Williams, after looking at many arguments
for and against life after death, tends to believe that he does not have a ghost of a
chance (Stewart Williams). I tend to agree with this thinking as well. Stewart
Williams shows some cases for life after death and then shows some arguments
against it.
Stewart Williams looks at the examples of paranormal phenomena first. These are
the ideas of out of body experiences, near death experiences, ghosts, mediums who
communicate with the dead, and past life memories. If these occurrences were what
they appear, they would be proof of an afterlife, but ... Show more content on

People may have the wishful thinking without evidence, but it could still be true.
Wishful thinking is not a way of proving that life after death is false. One last
argument is resurrection. This, for Stewart Williams, has many holes. For one, if
it is true the body is resurrected, and we are made of atoms possible from bodies of
past people and possible your atoms go into others in the future, how would God
resurrect everyone? Another question Stewart Williams is maybe God uses other
atoms, not within other people, then would you be the same person you were
before death if not made up of the same material you were when alive. I like the
thoughts put forth by Stewart Williams, if we are atoms and those atoms spread
after death, then we would not really be the same. Stewart Williams uses the idea
of the you after death is not the same you from before death you would be a replica.
I agree with that, a replica or clone of you from different atoms would not necessarily
be you, almost identically but could not

Why Is Tony Harding Unfair
Everyone here has heard something about the biggest figure skating scandal there
was in the world. Whether you saw the new movie starring Margot Robbie or heard
in recent months on the news about this event that took place twenty years ago. I am
talking about Tonya Harding. She was a curvy, blonde, woman who was rather poor.
Over the many years of her skating career many people in The United States Figure
Skating Association have tried to ostracize Tonya from the skating community
because she chose music she wanted and was different. I think Tonya Hardingwas
tried unfairly because she was not the ideal female skater at the time because of her
weight, because she was female, and because she was poor.
First a little backstory, Tonya Harding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a recent documentary it was noted that anyone who proceeded to skate with
Tonya would have to resign from the United States Figure Skating Association. The
United States Figure Skating Association ostracized Tonya from the rest of the
community. Tonya Harding s relationship with Jeff Gillooly, was an abusive one,
but she kept coming back to him. She says in interviews that he always saying the
right things to get me back, and I d be stupid enough to go back and get beat up
again. Jeff Gillooly was not the only abusive person in her life. Her mother was
also abusive. Tonya Harding came from an abusive family that did not have a lot
of money. Tonya Harding could not afford to get private ice the same as Nancy
Kerrigan did. Even after proceeding to get second place at the 1994 Olympics
Kerrigan made many mistakes such as talking rudely about Oksana Baiul who had
won first place that year. and the Disneyland Parade float she was on calling it
corny and stupid . To today Kerrigan who was an ideal female figure skater was
forgiven for her mistakes that she

The Pros And Cons Of Passions
secondary passions: pleasure and distress which were often the result one would get
if one was to fail to avoid the matters of the first two main passions. According to
(Jeremiah Genest, website) given the stoics view about moral and corrupt the only
acceptable time that one could come to the acceptance that something bad is existing,
is when there is actually something that could threaten ones virtue and morals,
because this and this unaccompanied is what is truly good and moral. Therefore one
would be correct in saying that all the so called passions require in a sense an actual
component of incorrect judgement.
The stoics also believed we needed to clear ourselves of impulse, which could bring
about irrational ideas and views. According ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These lives seem to be made up of unnecessary forms of disorder and suffering, this
is largely due to one s misconception of the true source of human happiness. Pierre
Hadot claims the following: mankind s principal cause of suffering, disorder and
unconsciousness were the passions, that is, unregulated desires and exaggerated
fears. People are prevented from truly living, it was taught, because they are
dominated by the passions (Hadot 1995, pg 83). According to (Matthew Sharpe,
website) Political society, something which is very natural to human beings, was also
agreed to be a further cause of misconception, these political societies have led to
false beliefs concerning human nature what is meant to be good for them, to pursue
and to avoid. According to (Hadot 2002, pg 102) ancient philosophers have brought
about this idea that philosophy involves a kind of therapy of the soul. According to
(Hadot 2002, pg 102) this conceived idea is that philosophy is a remedy for human
troubles, pain and misery. For the Cynics, this misery was brought about by social
constraints and conventions, for the Epicureans, it was their quest of false pleasures,
the Stoics it was their pursuit of pleasure and egoistic self interest and finally the
skeptics who were misled by false

Reflection On Sustainability
As we were learning about the three sectors of sustainability in the beginning of the
semester, I realized how broad sustainability is. I began considering and reaching
out to experience the different aspects of each sector, and quickly discovered how
passionate I am about the service sector. I ve always enjoyed and understood the
importance of volunteer work in bettering myself and the community. In turn, for my
service learning event, I choose a serving and clean up shift at the community
dinner. I got there a bit early and was able to assist the cooking shift before me. I had
no idea how much I would enjoy it. Meeting the volunteers and student leaders was a
great way to conversate with others about aspects and initiatives on campus relating
to sustainability. It was engaging to be around individuals that shared a common
passion. When all the food was finished, we brought it upstairs and got ready to
serve. People began coming up for helpings and it shocked me how much food we
served. Everyone was very grateful, and although I only had a small part in the
food preparation, I had such a strong feeling of contentment and happiness
knowing so many people enjoyed their meal that was destined to be thrown away.
When they announced that all the food had been reclaimed and we were feeding
over 100 people, I was flabbergasted. Being aware of how much food was going to be
wasted was an eye opening moment for me. It lit a fire under me and make me want
to be a bigger part of

Essay on Low Self-Esteem and Eating Disorders
What is Self Esteem...
Self esteem has recently been defined by Silverstone as the sense of contentment and
self acceptance that stems from a person s appraisal of their own worth, significance,
attractiveness, competence and ability to satisfy their aspirations (Silverstone 1992).
Self esteem is the degree to which a person values and respects themselves, and is
proud of their accomplishments. Self esteem begins to develop in childhood, but it
solidifies and gains momentum during the turbulent and trying years of adolescence.
The teenage years tend to be a crucial make it or break it period when it comes to
self esteem because it is at this time that youngsters are searching for an identity. If
this process goes awry, the teen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of these traits are seen fairly consistently in patients with eating disorders.
In addition, patients with eating disorders also exhibit other traits associated with
low self esteem, such as problems with their overall self image, excessive concern
over weight and shape, and globally negative attitudes about their self control and
discipline (Button 1997). The methodology for the research leading to these
conclusions about low self esteem and eating disorders typically involves elements
such as questionnaires examining eating behavior, self esteem and general
psychological well being (such as the Offer self image questionnaire), depression
and self esteem scales (such as the Rosenberg self esteem scale and the Hospital
anxiety and depression scale), personal interviews with doctors, psychologists and
researchers, and finally tests designed specifically for eating disorders (such as the
Bulimia test and the EAT 40).
Low self esteem plays a prominent role in many multifactorial theories of the etiology
of eating disorders.

The formation of a concrete sense of self is one of the milestones of adolescence.
However, this task is anything but easy. The teenage years are full of turmoil and

Report On The Happenings Provided By Professor Slater s...
Based on review of the happenings provided by Professor Slater s presentation, the
largest data breach in US was caused by Snowden when he was a contractor. He
acquired classified information in terms of the NSA surveillance programs which he
later on used to publish on the major newspapers for awareness to media. Shortly
after he was found that he disclosed information, he seeked refuge in Russia. But
apparently upon reading of different articles, it looks like there are

If the information was to be in any relation to terrorism, any US citizen would
understand the severity especially after the 9/11 event. But without any relation to
any terrorism, it basically means that the US government is spying. This is a
controversial topic that brought confusion.
To those supporters of NSA, there has been much controversy since the fact that
exposing what they believe in is being revealed, but the degree of privacy exposed
from innocent people is quite radical considering, there are even resumes and
transcripts from children. Not to mention the fact that perhaps if you have any
children and had pictures of their cuteness taken in the bathtub, these photos can be
leaked to anyone is quite horrific. Although he used breaches to disclose information
in regards to allowing the public to know the state of NSA, the information he has
passed on to the public is quite informative.
5.How will this affect the NSA and U.S. National Security?
Because of the severity and detail of the data breach in terms of surveillance
programs, is it a fact to say that other countries will know how the US National
Security controls are run. The NSA US National Security are left to redefine,
redetermine, restructure and reimplement every security program that they have
since the secret is no longer a secret. Not only will they focus on re establishing their
controls externally but

Impact Of Orientalism In Western Music
History is about the present as much as it is concerned with the past because the past
forms the foundation of how things are today which will also become history in
years to come.
As my own practice is music heavily influenced by the west, I will be exploring the
definition of Orientalism and The Primitive and Pagan in Contemporary Art with
some analysis of their long history before identifying their effects on today s western
music.
Famous orientalist, Edward Said, explained in his book Orientalism that through
European colonization, the Europeans established orientalism, the study of Orientals,
as a way to define themselves as the superior race compared to Orientals and justify
their colonization. As the study of Orientals expanded, Westerners generalized
attributes of Easterners and started forming their own knowledge about Easterners.
Hence, Orientalism can now be defined as Western stereotypes about Eastern people.
By this definition, orientalism can be found in rock music like Arabian Knights by
Siousie and The Banshees and has affected the way lyrics are written in songs. In
Arabian Knights, the lyrics Myriad lights I d be impressed Arabian Knights at your
primitive best supports the idea that the arabian area is primitive unlike Western ...

In the more recent years, pop songs like Buttons by the Pussy Cat Dolls, uses strong
elements of Middle Eastern music in its production to complement the pop beats. A
distinct Arabic melody played by a flute sounding instrument can be heard repeatedly
throughout the song to make it more oriental. The same can be said about songs by
singer M.I.A as she uses Oriental music such as Bollywood music in songs like
Jimmy . It is hence clear that Orientalism has affected the type and style music in
both past and

It # 39 ; S A Woman s World By Eavan Boland
A Frozen, Essential Shadow In It s a Woman s World, Eavan Boland uses literary
techniques such as allusion and metaphor to demonstrate how women are essential
to society but are stuck in their concrete role while living in the shadow of men.
These concepts are also demonstrated by a style of writing that allows the reader to
interpret the meaning through literary analysis. Throughout history women have
been looked down upon by men. For example, in American history they were not
allowed to go to school nor vote as they were viewed as inferior to men. In this
poem the speaker presents women as an essential part of society, the building blocks
on which greatness stands. Women perform daily household tasks represented in the
poem as washing powder,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women are bound to this role as [they] never will be: star gazers, fire eaters an
allusion to faces of society and change. Star gazers were the face of the scientific
revolution while fire eaters were the leaders of change in the civil war. That phrase
alludes to the fact that women will never become figureheads of society as they
are stuck to their role. Even those women that have craned to the starry mystery
[are] merely getting a breath of evening air and they are no fire eater[s], just my
frosty neighbour coming home. The night imagery in starry and evening promotes
a feeling that is ephemeral as the women who crave change stand up but quickly
retreat back to where they came from as if they were only taking a breath. Those
women aren t catalysts of change like fire eaters they are just normal people. The
frosty neighbor and its frozen imagery alludes to the fact that women are frozen or
stuck to their role in society and they will always return back to the same place as if
they are coming

Book Report On Becoming The Dragon By Alex Sapegin
Becoming the Dragon by Alex Sapegin, the first installment in a series called The
Dragon Inside, follows the story of a teenager named Andy who goes through a
series of drastic life changes. Before the events of the novel, Andy is struck by
lightning on a class field trip. He survives the strike but is sentenced to never cross
paths with computers because of the electrical charges he gives off causing
computers to freeze and shut down. Even though Andy loves computer games, this
forces him to find alternatives for entertainment, such as learning to cook and even
taking up archery from a neighbor. He seemed to be doing well in his life until his
sister gives him the task of taking documents to their father s office.
Andy accidentally stumbles into the middle of a science experiment, and the results
are out of this world . He is taken through a portal to the planet Ilanta, full of both
magical creatures and other humans, and little did he know that his skills in archery
would need to come in handy for his survival. While searching for a way home, Andy
meets a number of characters (some human and others not so human) who either
want to help him or kill him. He ultimately has to turn himself into a dragon in order
to live, and it seems as though he was born to become one. ... Show more content on

I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. With an incredible gift of
storytelling, Sapegin was truly able to take the reader from Earth to Ilanta, where
one could get swept away by elves, magicians, dragons, and much more. I found
myself getting caught up in both the story and Andy s transformation from a simple
adolescent to a dragon. I can best describe him as being a student constantly
learning to survive and thrive in a new world. To quote a line from the novel without
spoiling anything, He was only a boy, but he held his own like a

Parkinson s Degenerative Disease
To be honest, Parkinson s disease scares me; the eventuality of being frozen inside
of my own body is terrifying. I have a customer that has shopped with us for at least
the past seven years. I can remember when his hands started to shake so badly that
he would just hold his coin purse out to me to select his change for him. Now he
can t even remove his own wallet from his back pocket. He will turn around and I
pull out his wallet, take out his money or credit card to complete his transaction and
then put his wallet back into his back pocket. We don t talk about it and I try to act
like I don t even notice it, but I do and it s terrifying. Parkinson s is a

ability to fluidly rise from a chair. Testers may score from a 0 to 108 and will retake

test is very subjective; depending on when a patient last took their medication
their scores could vary dramatically after several hours have passed. In order to verify

symptoms pass while medicated. There are more tests available to rule out other

Christians Celebrations of Holy Communion Essay
Christians Celebrations of Holy Communion
There are many different ways in which Christians celebrate Holy Communion,
depending on the denomination of Christianity, in which they belong. Holy
Communion is one of the seven sacraments found in Christianity. A sacrament is an
outward physical act with an inward, deeper meaning, which can be obtained through
various, specific rituals. In the case of Holy Communion, which is also known as the
Eucharist meal or Mass, Christian worshippers believe that they receive the body
and the blood of Jesus Christ, through the act of eating the bread, which symbolises
Christ s body, and by drinking the wine, said to be his blood. This sacrament

God sacrificed his son, Jesus, for the good of all people and so that they too would
depart from the slavery and the submission to sins and wrongdoings, in order to
enter into a pure state of forgiveness and freedom. This is the key reason why
Christians, of all branches, hold a great importance to Holy Communion, which
remembers Christ s sacrifice to them, which frees them of their sins up till this day.
Even though, most, if not all Christian denominations agree about the origins of such
a ritual, they now have different opinions about how the service is conducted. The
Roman Catholic Church believes in the idea of transubstantiation, which is the belief
that the bread and wine that they consume at the Eucharist meal, has over the years,
mystically transformed into Jesus real body and blood. Roman Catholics celebrate
Holy Communion or Mass regularly. Roman Catholics believe that the Mass is a
sacrifice. Each time it is celebrated Christ renews the sacrifice that he made for the
sins of the world when he was crucified. This is why they frequently celebrate it. In
some Churches, only people who have been confirmed are allowed to participate in
the celebration of Holy Communion, whereas in the Roman Catholic Church there is
no such restriction. This emphasises how Jesus had welcomed everybody in his own
life and had treated everyone

Short Summary Of The Pigman By Paul Zindel
The Pigman, by Paul Zindel, starts with two sophomores at Franklin High School,
Lorraine, and John, who are typing about an awful experience they had with a guy
named Mr. Pignati. They met Mr. Pignati by making a prank phone call and
prevaricated, saying they were charity workers for the L J Fund. Mr. Pignati, a
cheerful, lonely fellow waiting for friends to talk to graciously told Lorraine and
John that he would donate ten dollars if they could go pick it up at his house. The
children agreed and went over to the Pignati household after school. When John
and Lorraine got to his house, they discovered Mr. Pignati was an older man with a
cheerful personality and an infantile smile. After talking with Mr. Pignati for a
while, Lorraine noticed that he seemed lonely. Mr. Pignati invited John and
Lorraine to go with him to enjoy his avocation of going to the zoo, and while John
did not want to, Lorraine felt bad for Mr. Pignati and told him they would go. When
they got to the zoo, Lorraine started to feel uncomfortable and anxious with the
animals and people there while John and Mr. Pignati had a great time looking at the
reptiles and nocturnal creatures. During the day at the zoo, Lorraine was conscious
of bad omens she was receiving such as the antagonistic peanut vendor. As they

midnight, get 6 or 7 hours of sleep, then wake up and do everything over again. The
next couple of lines say And you can t find the fighter, but I see it in you so we re
gonna walk it out and move mountains. These words made me think about
everything differently. This year I ve been under a lot of stress pertaining to grades,
SATs, scholarships, and applications. Sometimes I don t know how I m going to fit
everything in. There s just not enough time in a day. I realized that over time, once I
get everything done, I will be going to college and then maybe change the world
afterwards.

Case Study Of Suguna Foods
39.In the poultry business, it s all about timely delivery, quality, and ensuring good
returns for all stakeholders on a consistent basis. And fame comes only to the rarest of
rare. Two brothers from Tamil Nadu Bangaruswami Soundararajan and
Bangaruswami Sundararajan have perfected a unique all inclusive poultry business
that runs on a contract farming model involving small and marginal farmers. Kick
started in 1978, their brainchild, Suguna Foods Ltd (formerly Suguna Poultry Farm
Ltd), has been instrumental in changing the lives of thousands of small time poultry
farmers by giving them sufficient returns. The brothers, who are XIth and XIIth

front, Suguna Foods, which commands 18 per cent of the market share, expects
future growth from newer markets such as Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand.

Effects Of Emerging Economies On North America s
Economy...
Introduction:
This report is intended to brief the reader on the effects of emerging economies on
North America s economy and the global market on a whole. This report provides an
overview of the emerging economies of India China; their education, ideological
beliefs economic performance and how North America s way of business is affected.
This report was compiled based on articles from reputable sources, such as Bloomberg
and articles published within the industry. This report was authorized by Mr.
Laviolette, an Accounting teacher at Jean Vanier Catholic High School.
Overview of Global Economy:
Today s Global economy is governed by a delicate balance of variables. The addition
of a new economy to the global market affects all of the pre existing variables,
bringing with it a host challenges and opportunities. Much like an initial public
offering, countries may buy in or develop economic agreements with the emerging
market economy (EME). This often results in the country buying in to the emerging
economy, getting services or products at a discounted rate, while the emerging
economy gets business like China and the United States. These types of agreement
may result in the poorer country sacrificing its citizens well being, to ramp up for
economic growth, like China. In the end most countries economies are interconnected
for example with the United States Canada relationship. If one country s economy
were to collapse there would be strongly adverse effects on the

Presidential Success And Its Impact On The State Of Nation
Throughout history, presidents have or have not wielded the powers and tools
available to them to further their goals. Examining presidential power and success is
to understand presidential leadership. These top tier individuals elected to the
presidency uses the resources and personal characteristics to lead them to success
and greatness, in some cases, some more than others. I have provided a case study
between Presidents Van Buren and Roosevelt to show how the internal and external
factors lead one presidentto be one of the greatest and most successful presidents in
U.S history, while the other is regarded as one of the more unsuccessful and worst
presidents. Presidential success is distinguished between internal and external factors.
We should care about presidential success and greatness because it significantly
impacts the state of nation. I argue that both internal and external factors are most
important in determining presidential success.
External Factors
Building a coalition with Congress is vitally important. Presidents want to leave a
legacy with essential legislation. Public policy legislation is especially important to
the president because they want ground breaking policy. Presidents cannot manage
the nation by themselves. It is necessary for Presidents to partner with Congress, even
though it is frequently very difficult. The legislative and executive branches are
responsible for compromises that consist of passing laws, adopting budgets, treaties,

Pros And Cons Of Caadavers
The use of Cadavers in my view, and from my experience of working and studying
in the dissection lab of the National University of Ireland, Galway is one of the best
ways human anatomy can both be taught and learnt and I believe is an essential
aspect in the study of educational anatomy and should be utilised in the learning of
anatomywhere possible. The active, hands on exploration that cadaveric dissections
provide, joined with excellent teaching methods makes for an interesting yet
challenging method of learning anatomy. In saying this, I do believe that there are
both pros and cons associated with the study of cadaveric anatomy.
My first time entering a dissection room, my initial emotion was fascination. This
fascination stemmed from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But the question still remains, to what extent can these apps and systems be used in
the learning and understanding of anatomy? Are they 100% reliable in terms of
accuracy and correct information? Can these computerised resources replace
cadaveric dissections? And finally, are they possibly the best method to utilise in
the learning and understanding of anatomy? Answers to these questions may differ
from person to person, but I personally believe that the role that a cadaver plays in
the processing, digestion and assimilation of information that has been taught in
lectures is paramount as from my experience of using these systems, and trying to
learn from them, I feel like in terms of the positioning of anatomical structures such
as muscles and nerves, these 3D visuals fall short. They provide only a rough and
vague indication of the location of structures and sometimes don t provide an
accurate representation of the structures in comparison to viewing them on a gross
specimen. They lack the aspect of precision that a cadaver would provide in terms of
location, shape and size of anatomical structures. The idea that students can one day
be taught a completely new topic, for example, the Brachial Plexus, and the next day
enter into a dissection

How Did Islamic Spain Affect The Civilization Of Muslim
Spain
In 711, groups from Eastern and Northern Africa (Arab, Syrian and Berber), of
Muslim religion, under the command of Tarik, defeated the Visigoth king Don
Rodrigo in the battle of Guadalete. Thus began the Arab domination of the Iberian
Peninsula which lasted for eight centuries, until 1492, when the last Nasrid king
surrendered Granada to the Catholic Monarchs.
With the conquerors came, among other things, a language of a very different nature
from the Romanesque: Arabic, with its different written and oral manifestations,
imposed itself as an official language and culture, Muslim Spain produced a culture,
and Muslims Are attributed the founding of a library of hundreds of thousands of
volumes (more than 400,000) that was unthinkable

Abstract
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning are the processes that help
organizations to prepare for the disruptive events that may occur. Disaster recovery
events in the past were designed to provide backup options for centralized data
centers. Today the disaster recovery plans are focused on integrated business
continuity.
The plan for Disaster recovery audit, maintenance and continuous improvement
should include the establishment of the process for keeping disaster recovery plans
and associated activities updated, auditing and reviewing the plans to ensure that they
remain fit for the purpose and consistent with the applicable standards and
management controls and establishing a process for the continuous improvement of
the disaster recovery program.
The report will focus on the importance of Disaster recovery and Business Continuity
Planning in Today s fast changing and Technology driven business environment audit
of the DR/BCP plans.

The Importance Of Technology In The Private Eye
The Private Eye (by Brian K. Vaughan, Marcos Martins with Muntsa Vicente), a sci
fi graphic novel, explores society s views on technology by defying what the reader
may expect by portraying a society that strongly opposes and fears current world
attitudes towards technology. Privacy in this world is seen as so exceedingly
important that society in it has completely rejected the internet. They still advance
technologically, but in a different direction than in the real world, and use various
kinds of masks and other appearance altering technologies for the sake of privacy.
They gravitate towards these types of technologybecause of familiarity, and deny
anything that could potentially compromise their privacy, like the internet.
Essentially, it s a moral thing, but to the degree that threatening privacy would be
like threatening their freedom. Privacy is part of what being a human is to these
people. It s a natural thing that everyone should have to them. This is where The
Private Eye and real life are most alike in that one s idea of what it is to be human
determines willingness to acceptnew technologies. Familiarity is what causes this
idea of what human is when it comes to accepting new technology or ideas.
In real life, people generally enjoy the ideas of sci fi esque technologies in theory.
The reason many inventions in science fiction don t actually exist is because they go
beyond what people consider human, at least the doable ones. Sure, technology is
intended to

While invested in the market I designed and built residential homes for myself, which

which I lived in until selling it in 1996.
In 2000, without conscious awareness I made mistake number one. I built a dream
home, an Italian farm house villa, which I designed for $1,500,000 with an $800,000
mortgage and sold it for $3,250,000. The reason for the large mortgage was to
leverage my positions in the stock market, which many others were trending to at that
time.
The decision to build again was based on my success in making money in the stock
market and a distorted and unrealistic perspective, without conscious awareness, that I
would continue making money without my close advisors to say, not a good decisions.
Part of this mistake was driving up debt, which I never had by borrowing against
stocks and later would contribute to financial loss.

Roller Coasters Good Or Bad
Roller coasters are the bomb. Would people still enjoy amusement parks if they
knew the danger of them? Roller coasters cause deaths and severe injuries. In one
year, there s 350 injuries on roller coasters. It s like an injury a day! Now, it s much
rarer, because the technology is safer, but there s always a slight risk. Inspectors
notice that most injuries or deaths are from rides over twenty years old. One coaster
is less than 10 years old. Amusement parks are fun, but can be life threatening. From
1987 to 1999, forty two death documents were reported to the park health institute.
Imagine being at an amusement park. Smell the popcorn, and french fries. The loud
carnival music, and the screams of people on a roller coaster. Isn t it

Prisoner s Dilemma Essay
1). The Prisoner s Dilemma
The Prisoner s Dilemma is an extremely popular game and way of thinking about
social interactions and also economics. It judges how people work together and
against each other. It helps us understand what governs the balance between
cooperation and competition in business, in politics, and in social settings. The two
players in the game can choose between two moves, either cooperate or defect . The
idea is that each player gains when both cooperate, but if only one of them
cooperates, the other one, who defects, will gain more. If both defect, both lose. The
whole game situation and its different outcomes can be summarised with the example

This is none so more apparent than in the United States where a strange phenomenon
is beginning to develop as a direct consequence of the rapid pace of technological
advancement, this phenomenon is going bowling alone. This has been highlighted
because at its core bowling is an extremely sociable event and it was fun thing to
do with friends and peer groups prior to technology exploding at an unprecedented
rate. Nowadays people find the ease of staying at home to watch television or
movies or play videogames much more appealing than going out to the bowling
alley with their friends for a game of bowling. You would think in today s modern
and constantly connected world that it would be easier than ever to organise your
group of friends to go for a game of bowling, but that isn t the case. Despite being
constantly connected to the world, organising a large group event is quite difficult
because people tend to ignore their devices as some sort of respite, to clear their

different groups and classes of people that constitute the Canadian society and the

writing of Denise Chong, from The concubine s children , we can clearly observe
that Chinese were unwelcome in Canada to a degree where special taxes levied on
the Chinese for school and policing, employment, laundry, shoes, even cigars and
even bared from becoming naturalized citizens, from owning land, from working on
public works (56). Such opposition did not prevent the government to bring one
exception to the rule, claiming that the Chinese would work for much less, were
more reliable than the available white labour and many Chinese were assigned the
most dangerous job (57). Moreover, newspapers and politicians alike pandered to

The Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program
Businesses in recent times are interested in being sustainable. They want to reduce
their impact on the environment, but still continue to operate and fulfill their
obligations to their stockholders by making a profit. Prior to the current trend of
environmental interest, certain industries had negatively affected the environment in
the course of doing normal business. As a result, governments have enacted laws that
limited the amount of pollution that a firm can release. One such law is the
Greenhouse GasReporting Program, which in a nutshell, stipulates mandatory
reporting of greenhouse gases released by certain firms. In regards to the program,

The data will be used to help create laws and policies that further protect the
environment against additional degradation. What are greenhouse gases, and why
does this program focus on them, instead of other pollutants? According to an article,
greenhouse gases absorb infrared radiation. This absorption of heat in the atmosphere
over time is responsible in the increase in the overall temperature of the planet, and
this is known as the greenhouse effect (Lallanilla, 2015). Basically, this program
focuses more on greenhouse gases and other air pollutants, because the effects
associated with the greenhouse effect will negatively affect the air quality and
atmosphere of the entire planet, not just in the United States. Overall, this program is
meant to get companies to be mindful of their environmental impact for the sake of
the planet, and to promote sustainability.
How exactly does this program relate to accounting? This program is meant to
promote sustainability and get firms to watch their environmental impact. In its June
of 2015 report, the AICPA cites the trend of sustainable operations and states that
CPAs are well positioned to offer expertise that organizations can use to implement,
track, and verify their sustainability efforts. (The State of, 2015). In order for a firm to

Effects Of The Aztecs During The Conquistadors
Mexico was one of the main points of the conquistadors conquest. Mexico was home
to two of the biggest Pre Colombian civilizations, the Aztecs and the Mayans. The
Mayans and Aztecs both faced the wrath of the conquistadors, as they were both
conquered very easily due to the Spanish s advanced weaponry. After conquering the
natives, the Spanish would rule over that land for anout 300 years. This new ruling
came with new foods, races, animals, and changes that effected the natives.
One of things that was brought to Mexico during the Colombian Exchange, although
unintentonally, was disease. The Spanish brought diseases such as smallpox, measles,
tuberculosis, and mumps. These were diseases that the natives had not been exposed
to, so they had no immunity to them. Even though the Spanish did have much more
advanced weaponry than the natives, it was the diseases that wiped out most of the
native population. It is believed that within a century of the arrival of the Spanish,
the population of the Aztecs decreased by 80 95%, going from 12.5M to roughly
about 1.5M in population (History of Disease). The Spanish shared the same fate, but
not as severe, many died from syphillis. A disease that was much more dangerous
during that time than it is today. (Columbian Exchange)
The second thing brought over from Spain was animals. The most influential animal
that was brought to Mexico by the Spanish was the horse, which played a significant
role in the colonization of the Aztecs and

College Education Is The Best Time Of A Person s Life
Having a college education is considered a must for success in the real world and it
is an archaic and much believed thought that college education is associated with a
successful life. College education is a necessity for living up to the standards of the
world and is necessary for shaping a literate and well informed society. College
teaches people things that the real world will probably not hence it becomes
obligatory that after passing high school, students need to obtain a college degree.
Where there are many people who disagree with the concept of having a college
degree and spending a fortune on college educationbecause it has nothing to do with
success, there are others who willfully agree that college is undoubtedly the best
time of a person s life and college teaches lessons that one carries with them all
lifelong.
There are two sides of the argument; in favor of college education and one that goes
against it. Those that oppose college are people who feel that it is burden and
waste of economic resources and it needs to be skipped out from the lives of the
people who need to get acquainted with the real world as soon as they can because
college life and education are a loud cry from reality and it doesn t really help when
it comes to obtaining a good occupation or even the part of making it through the
three four years of college. The opponents of college education point out various
issues related to college teaching as well as the teachers and the students.

Buying An Instrument Is Not An Easy Task
Buying an instrument is not an easy task. While you can walk to a shop and pick
yourself a pair of white socks without thinking about it, you don t want to do the same
with a musical instrument.
If you are looking to add a bit of music to your life, then ask these ten questions
before you hand out the money.
1. Are Your Buying the Right Instrument?
Selecting a musical instrument to play is a bit like buying shoes. If you don t get the
right fit, you are most likely going to end up with an aching body and hurt feelings.
You might love the sports shoes, but if you never go running than what is the point?
Even if you dream of playing the guitar, the violin might actually suit you much
better, so pick carefully.
2. Do You Want the Instrument for the Right Reason?
As well as finding the right instrument for your personality and play style, you also
need to stop and think while you are getting the instrument. Are you just buying the
guitar to impress the ladies?
If you have no interest in learning the specific instrument, if there s no passion in
your belly than don t bother. You ll learn a lot faster if looking cool isn t the only
reason you re picking the chosen instrument.
3. Can You Store the Instrument?
It might sound obvious but people are sometimes silly when it comes to instruments.
You might be destined to play the piano, it might be your dream and passion, but if
you live in a studio flat the size of a small closet, you might need to put your dreams
on hold.

PTSD And Exposure Therapy
PTSD Treatment Goes Virtual Imagine facing one s fears in a virtual world, or
preparing for events before they happen. With the invention of virtual reality
technology, what once was science fiction now is a fact. However, virtual reality
technology has another intriguing use: therapy for psychological disorders such as
PTSD, or post traumatic stressdisorder. David Myers, author of Exploring Psychology
in Modules, defines PTSD as A disorder characterized by haunting memories,
nightmares, social withdrawal, jumpy anxiety, numbness of feeling, and/or insomnia
that lingers for four weeks or more after a traumatic experience (573). A safe and
effective treatment option has yet to be found for combat related PTSD, but recent

It should be noted that there are two kinds of virtual reality therapy: VRE and VRE
AC. VRE, or virtual reality exposure, entails aspects of the trauma being illustrated
for the patient within a virtual world, while the patient narrates what happened to
them during their harrowing experience (McLay Web). The second, VRE AC, which
adds arousal control, teaches the patient how to handle increasing stress levels in
response to stimuli related to the trauma while they are physiologically monitored
(McLay Web). In a study conducted by Albert Rizzo and his colleagues, he goes into
great detail about how the patient is physiologically monitored such as heart rate,
galvanic skin responses, and respiration throughout the session so that the therapist
can go at a pace appropriate for each patient without distressing them too much (Rizzo
Web). Rizzo also describes the key significance of clinical interface which enables the
therapist to customize the simulations for each individual patient (Rizzo Web). In lay
man s terms, this gives the clinician the ability to pace the patient s introduction to
real time stimuli and then control the stimuli as necessary to cultivate variations in
anxiety essential for therapeutic processing and habituation (Rizzo

Different Way Of Understanding State

drawback of this approach is that it is uncritical in nature and by defining it ethical it
could not distinguish between the institutions that are inside and outside the state.

and serves the society as whole and are responsible for making collective decisions.

laws, regulations are followed and impose them on the citizen of the state in which
the transgressors are punished. Weber said It is a monopoly of legitimate violence
therefore the [practical expression of state sovereignty.
4. The state is an exercise of legitimation: The decisions of the state are of the
supreme importance and authority as it Is assumed that the decisions taken by them
are for the greater good and in public interest.
5.The state is a territorial association : The dominion of the state is geographically
defined and encompasses all those who live within the state boundaries whether its

J. W. Garner gives a very all inclusive definition of the state, holds the view that the
state as a concept of political science public law, is a community of persons, more or
less numerous, permanently occupying a definite portion of territory, independent,
nearly so, of external control and possessing an organized government to which the
great body of inhabitants render habitual obedience. It

Gender Stereotypes And Gender Roles
Gender roles are defined as the widely accepted societal expectations about how
males and females should behave (Rathus, 2010).From gender roles, we, the people
of society, are able to determine whether someone identifies as a male or a female.
Both biological and social factors tend to determine what genderroles a person takes
on. However, there are also gender stereotypes, which are the fixed and
oversimplified beliefs about the ways in which men and women ought to behave
(Rathus, 2010). Often times, gender stereotypes are related back to the traditional
beliefs of when women were responsible for staying home and being the caregivers
and men were responsible for going out to work and bringing home the food,
supplies, and money that the family needed (Rathus, 2010). There are four main
differences between the genders: physical, cognitive, personality, and behaviors.
Physical differences are the most obvious differences between genders. Those
differences come from the primary and secondary sexcharacteristics. The primary sex
characteristics of females are their ovaries and males have testes. As far as
secondary sex characteristics, females tend to have wider hips and smaller bodies
and males tend to have more facial hair and deeper voices. Some cognitive
differences between males and females are that males are often more superior in
visual spatial abilities used in math, science, and map reading, and females are often
more superior at writing, reading, and foreign

Westward Expansion Research Paper
The Westward expansion was mainly driven by America s desire to control not
only more land but to expand its territory up to the Pacific Coast. With the country
once divided by certain beliefs and political views were now united with the
Manifest Destiny to come together and expand westward to find new opportunities,
resources, and profit. To encourage the settlement of the West, Congress passed
legislation that enabled settlers to buy land cheaply, and have easy access to land
with mineral deposits and grazing lands (Credo 1). This Westward expansion was
very important to American s economy because it was the largest expansion in US
history, successfully connecting railways from East to West, and discovery of
important resources. The Westward expansion is still considered by historians to not
only be the most important expansion of the United Statesbut also the most
venturous. This expansion was a combination of trade, military force, and discovery
over a period hundred years. By the 1900s the United States more than tripled their
size from less than one million square miles to three millions square miles. The west
saw 60% population increase by the 1900s of the number of... Show more content on

A well known example of this technological innovation can be found here: barbed
wire, invented and patented by Joseph F Glidden in 1874. The effects of such an
innovation are quite obvious: barbed wire is light and easier and faster to set up
than wood fencing, and withstand fires, floods, and high winds. (Vandenbroucke
86). These things helped ensure the livestock did not wander while keeping them
in heathy areas to thrive. This caused the price of food to drop dramatically and put
many free ranchers out of business. Again this displaced some people into back into
larger populated areas because the cost of living became affordable to do so because
