Hebrews 11:7 7  By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. This verse identifies 3 characteristics of Noah that set him apart.

Noah was righteous These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.

Noah was blameless These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.

Noah walked with God These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God .

First Post By faith Noah built the Ark.

God will destroy the Earth in 120 years Gen. 6:3 Noah’s sons born Noah is 500 The Flood Noah is 600 100 years

Noah responded to the warning of God.

Unheeded Warnings Warned the Titanic about icebergs nearby. Cyril Evans

Unheeded Warnings Warned John F. Kennedy’s speechwriter, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. to keep the President out of Dallas. Adlai Stevenson

Unheeded Warnings Warned about the need to take Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden seriously for years! John O’Neill

Gen. 6:1-3 1 “When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever , for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years.” (Gen. 6:1-3) Important Fact: The Flood did not come without warning. God had been contending with man.

Noah responded in holy fear.

Noah responded in obedience, resulting in the salvation of his entire family.

Application Your faith can and will have a broad impact upon those around you.

Second Post By faith Noah condemned the world .

A Bas Relief Image “The image projects from a flat background”

The example of Joseph In the presence of his brothers In the house of Potiphar In the Egyptian prison In the house of Pharaoh

The example of David 17 “You are more righteous than I,” he said. “You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly. (1 Sam. 24:17)

Application: Righteous men of faith are often hated by those around them, because their values stand in sharp contrast to the value system of the world.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mt. 5:10-11)

Third Post By faith, Noah became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Noah’s Faith Noah believed in what he’d never seen. Noah obeyed a command that made little sense. Noah persevered in faith despite the taunts of those around him.
