India is a land of rich culture and varied heritage. The fact that it is a country which has given birth to many art forms and painting styles is known to all. Hence, there are many Indian painters which have got recognition all around the globe for their artistic abilities. In today’s time, Indian painters make paintings of every known genre. They not just make paintings which are traditional and ancient but also the ones which come under the category of modern art. He was born and raised in a small district Kilimanoor of Kerala on 29th of April in the year 1848. He used to make paintings after taking a cue from the epic scenes of Indian epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. He is also considered amongst the first ones who started selling lithographs. Amrita Shergill was born on 30th January in the year 1913 in Budapest city of Hungary. Umrao Singh Shergill Majithia was her father. He was a Sikh noble. This artist was born in 1941 in a small town, known as, Mayurbhanj in Orissa. He is known for his proficiency in painting, graphics work, sculptures, and murals. Besides this, he also writes poetry. Maqbool Fida Hussain is undoubtedly an artist whose name is known even to the ones who are not into art that much. He has been a celebrity painter as he has made portraits of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , Anushka Sharma etc. Born on 17th September 1915 in a town of Maharashtra, this artist is irrefutably the one who is widely known for his unique work at national and International level.
