Problem Statement These days it is an important issue to keep the reliability of power supply in transmission and distribution. Power distribution network is much larger then power transmission network Almost 80% faults occur on distribution system It is important to have a system that is accurate and fast in detection of fault in the system Conventionally fault was identified and localized by visual inspection.

Conclusion Algorithm for automated fault line selection method for MV distribution was proposed using adjacency list and status of FID In case of lost of information a method for reverse iterative method lost information was recovered Successfully implemented for single and multiple fault points Algorithm for automated fault in LV distribution system using feedback from power meters
