Many brands are paving
the runway with pro-
gressive production
methods and innovative
textile inventions. One of them is
Jaipur based brand ‘NAAV’ by
Avneet Adwani. NAAV is an or-
ganic certified apparel & lifestyle
store and production unit, with
an underlying commitment to
empower the rural artisans, res-
urrect the fading local arts and
evolve the apparel industry to
sustainable fashion with the en-
vironment conservative ap -
proach. Beyond being a lifestyle
clothing store, ‘NAAV - The
Mindful Courtyard’ is an organi-
cally cultivated and conscious
space.
“NAAV is a humble step to-
wards forming a link between
the hands that craft timeless
pieces with the people who be-
lieve that everything has a soul.
It is a celebration of age-old
crafts and techniques. It is re-
spect for our mother nature, it is
about finding joy in the little im-
perfections of life. For me, NAAV
is not just a store but a space that
ties together unique interpreta-
tions of various designers across
the country,” said Founder,
Avneet Adwani.
On being asked about the effect
of the pandemic, Avneet said,
“The only way we’re dealing with
the pandemic is by following all
the norms laid out by the govern-
ment. We do regular health
checkups in the office and have
made masks & sanitizers manda-
tory inside the premises. We are
also making sure that people are
not sitting in clusters and are
working with proper social dis-
tancing.”
With over 20 years of experi-
ence in the fashion in-
dustry, Avneet has a pen-
chant for slow fashion
and ethical industry prac-
tices. Her store reflects every bit
of her identity and ideologies.
“We made sure that we were
making things to order more.
We started making clothes
which were more organic
and comfortable to wear at
home. The awareness of
sustainable fashion
has increased
among people
during the
pandemic,”

While talking about the
changes, she shared, “The
major change that we adapted
was of going completely digital.
We started our website along
with the business account on all
the
so-
cial me-
dia plat-
form. We re-
alised that the reach
of going digital is far
more than physical
stores.”

n an ongoing virtual trade fair ‘Vastra 2020’, the ‘Virtual Expo’ is one of the major highlights which is offering highly advanced vir-
tual booths for exhibitors to show-
case their products. The online plat- form has been designed to give the delegates and buyers a real-event feel of being at an expo. Exhibitors have been embedded to the vir-
tual expo by adding their on-
line store to their virtual booths. These booths also have images of products, video play-
lists, social media integration, we- blinks, card exchange as well as live engagement tools to facilitate smooth B2B interaction. This form of the most-up-to-date online exhibition is an ideal platform to make ‘Vastra 2020’ accessible to significantly more people across the globe at a time when travel and physical events are restricted.
The textile fair is being jointly or-
ganised by Rajasthan State Industrial
Development and Investment Corpo-
ration Ltd. (RIICO) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The mega-event will be on till 27 September and the portal will be live till 7 October.
Managing Director (MD) of RII-
CO, Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar ex -
plained that at the virtual expo, booths have been designed to meet
the individualistic needs of
each exhibitor. At the virtual
expo, exhibitors are able to have one-to-one dialogue ses-
sions with buyers through chat,
audio or video calls.
Exhibitors are getting many bene-
fits from this virtual expo. They are able to meet qualified leads and their exposure is truly global so, the ex- hibitors are able to contact more and more people. The virtual expo is also saving on the expenses in logistics, lodging and boarding and enabling negotiations with significantly more visitors, which is not possible at the general expo.
