6. PRODUCERS The organisms which carry out photosynthesis constitute the producers of an ecosystem. E.g. Plants , algae and bacteria CONSUMER Consumers are organisms which eat other organisms. All animals are consumer. DECOMPOSERS The decomposers are organisms that break up the dead bodies of plants and their waste products. The decomposers are fungi and certain bacteria.

14. DETRITUS FOOD CHAIN Certain groups of organisms which feed exclusively on the dead bodies of animals and plants. These organisms are called DETRITIVOURES. The detritivoures include algae , bacteria, fungi, protozoan, insects, millipedes, centipedes ,etc . Some amount of energy trapped and the reminded is excreted in the from of simple organic compounds.
