Scientific Instrument Used in Firearms Identification Analytical or Torsion Balance- used to determine the weight of bullets.

Bullet Comparison Microscope- an optical instrument consisting of two compound microscope with a single microscope field or ocular eyepiece capable of viewing two objects side by side at the same time.

Bullet Recovery Box- an instrument in crime laboratory as well in firearms company design for test firing.

Chronograph - an instrument designed to measure the velocity of the bullet.

CP-6 Comparison Projector- is designed for the same purpose as the bullet comparison microscope.

Caliper - an instrument to measure the caliber of the firearms, bullets and shells.

Electronic Gun Marker- an instrument used in marking bullets, shells and firearms.

Helixometer - used to examined the bore of the firearms specially its pitch of rifling.

Micrometer - used to measure shell, bullets and firearms caliber.

Onoscope - used to examine the inner surface of the barrel.

Stereoscopic Microscope- used for preliminary examinations of fired bullets and fired shells to determine the relative class characteristics of for orientation purposes.

Shadowgraph - used for examine same as with the bullet comparison microscope.

Taper Gauge- designed to measure the diameter of the bore of the firearm.
