s o that + subject and verb Example; She went running so that she could get fit. The new student worked hard so that she could pass the test.
s o as (not) to + infinitive infinitive = basic form of verbs Example; She went running so as to get fit. The new student worked hard so as to pass the test.
in order (not) to + infinitive infinitive = basic form of verbs Example; She went running in order to get fit. The new student worked hard in order to pass the test.
