4-Part Webinar Series: From Chaos To Clarity
1. Developing & Managing Your Community
Partner Ecosystem Member Database - Sep 11

2. Capturing Data from Your Community Partner
Ecosystem Members - Oct 1

3. From Data to Insights: Turning Ecosystem
Data into Impact - Oct 22

4. Sharing Ecosystem Data to Build Collective
Capacity - Nov 19

1. Developing & Managing Your
Partnership Database

-Multiple spreadsheets/lists for
tracking partners (no single source
of truth)
-Existing tracking systems are not
easy to search, filter, or sort
-Existing systems use inconsistent
fields/terms to track partnerships
-Hard to track as partners have
turnover and contacts change
What makes tracking ecosystem members difficult?

In a CPRM, this includes:
-Getting all your partners out of
multiple lists and into one
system

-Storing all the attributes/fields
that you need to track

-Filtering & searching to identify
critical data when you need it

-Analyzing the data (looking at
trends, demographics, etc.) to
inform practice
Ecosystem Member Management

2. Capturing Data From Your
Ecosystem Members

-Unsure of What to Ask
-Network Data is Complex
-Difficulties Engaging Partners
-Lack the Appropriate Tools to Ask
Network Questions
What makes capturing data from ecosystem
members difficult?

3. Translating Your Data Into
Actionable Insights

1. Hard to know where to start
2. Overwhelming, so hard to find meaning
3. Attempts to interpret in a silo (without members’ input
in what the data means)
4. More than a map - finding meaning in the data
5. Lack of clarity about what we are trying to answer
because we did not articulate it
What makes analyzing and translating
ecosystem data difficult?

1. Good design of the survey/question set
2. Collaborating with partners to get the design right
3. Iterative data analysis and interpretation (with
members and stakeholders)
4. Narrowing on a few findings
5. Connecting each data point to an action step
What makes analyzing and translating
ecosystem rewarding and valuable?

Identifying Structural Change:
Networks for School Improvement

Interpretation: The most
growth in shared content from
2019 to 2023 occurred around
continuous improvement (19%
growth) and diversity, equity,
and inclusion (17% growth).
There was 24% less activity
around stakeholder engagement
from 2020 to 2023 (see Figure 3
below). In 2023, the most
commonly shared content
between Intermediaries and
their partners continued to be
continuous improvement (75%)
and measurement and
evaluation (41%), while 39% work
on problem specific content
knowledge (this was not a
choice in other years).

Resource Levels in the Network
Interpretation: When we
asked about the level of
available resources,
advocacy and policy
change was the top
response for having too
little for people serving
people in Jefferson County
(52%).
