VOLLEYBALL Volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court within the opponents’ playing area before it can be returned. A team is allowed only three touches of the ball before it must be returned over the net.
1. SERVE It is the act of putting the ball into play and It is done by the right and backline player who hits the ball with his hand or any part of the arm in order to send the ball over the net into the opponent’s court .

UN D E R HAND Is a serve in which the player strikes the ball below the waist instead of tossing it with an overhand throwing motion .
Determine the arc of the ball Draw your hitting arm straight back Follow through with your arm Swing your arm
OVERHAND Is a serve in which the player tosses the ball with one hand and strikes it in the air above their head with other hand .
Place your left foot slightly in front of your right foot. Ball in your left hand Toss the ball , flex high elbow Extend to hit the ball Hit the ball toward the opposite court
JUMP SERVE Is an overhand serve where the ball is first tossed high in the air, then the players make a time to approach and jump to make contact with the ball .
Toss ball high in front and bring arms back Jump up and forward Contact the ball at the top of your jump Strike the ball and take off behind the end line
PASS To receive a serve from the opposing team , it must use a forearm pass or bump wherein t he legs should be bent, fo r w a rd and both hands extended hands joined together . FRONT VIEW SIDE VIEW

SET It is usually the second c onta c t that a team makes with the ball The ma i n goal of setting is to put the ball in the air in such a way that it can be driven by an atta c k i n t o the opponent’s court

SPIKE Is also known as the attack, and is usually the third contact a team makes with the ball It is the act of scoring a point by slamming the ball over the net into the opposing court effectively and aggressively
Run to the net as the ball is approaching Jump off the ground Hit the ball with your palm Follow through
BLOCK It refers to the actions taken by players standing at the net to stop or alter an opponent's attack .
Ready position Jump up and keep your arms high Keep your palm facing the net Land carefully and ready for the game
