Game synopsis
Anonymity: The game is set in an 1800’s Italy, amongst the coliseum and cities such as Florence,
Venice and Rome. The game itself is an MMORPG mixed with a fictional, open-world action
adventure. The game will feature the antagonist/protagonist un-named male who fights and
assassinates specific targets for either his own desires or to do what is right and stop the existing
leader’s ruthless corruption of the innocent people of Italy.
The gameplay itself is split up into: Quests, Skills, Target Assassinations, and exploration.
Each of these mechanics allow for lots of gameplay and grinding skill requirements to do specific
quests, or Quests to unlock a new area to train a skill etc. The better the player’s skills, the more
abilities and new features they unlock to make life as an assassin easier and to take down targets
with new methods.
Quests
Quests would be an influential part of the game. It would allow the player to access new areas,
unlock special equipment, learn to use different weaponry or craft and make better items to fight
with. Quests are devised of 3 types of quests, “Target” quests: assassinate a target for rewards from
an NPC who pays you to do so. “Fetch” quests: Take specific items to a friend or NPC who may need
them through-out the game. “Compound” quests: a long, tedious, and often dangerous quest that
would see the player mastering their role as an assassin, both fetch quests and Target quests are
introduced in this and only the most skilled assassin should face them, although the rewards are
definitely worth it.
Skills
Skills are a specific set of traits the player can train in any order for their character to evolve and
manipulate the world easier. Before starting some of your skills, you are required to complete quests
or even progress to a certain point in the game; others are completely free and can be done in any
order and at any time.
Exploration
The world is vast, open and diverse. It can be explored, dungeons can be found, towers can be
climbed, and tombs can be raided. The landscape can be roamed freely away from questing and
skilling, too find new ways, methods and training spots for skills or new people in need of help
(quests). “Chests” can be found and looted time and time again for gold rewards so a player can buy
better items to get better experience to train skills even faster.
