Introduction Session

What is GDG ? GDGs on Campus provide learning opportunities for aspiring developers from universities and colleges around the world, allowing them to gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and build a strong foundation for a tech career. By joining a GDG, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.

Targets Of GDG Conducting different technical events throughout the year that will lead to aware students about industry leading technologies making them more confident about them. Finding justifying solutions to community problems and implementing them. Bridging gap between theory and real-life application. Creating a community to grow student knowledge on developer products and platforms through hands-on workshops and events. Grow knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment.

College life: Expectation vs Reality I’ll build an app, win hackathons, and get placed in Google!😎🔥 Watching DSA tutorials at 2AM 😭 Join the GDG community and Bridge between Expectation & Reality 💪

At GDG You will:- Learn latest Technologies. 2. Make Projects in teams /alone. 3. Participate in Contests. 4. Receive Guidance. 5. Find like - minded people. 6. Contribute to the Community .

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science which focuses on the use of data and algorithms to imitate the way that humans learn, gradually improving its accuracy.. This domain matters because it’s the driving force behind the next wave of technology. AI and ML are no longer just a trend; they are becoming essential tools in almost every industry, creating new possibilities and solving some of the world's biggest challenges. AI/ML

Creative Projects & Hackathons We'll organize open source projects and hackathons where you can apply your skills to real-world problems. Imagine building a smart chatbot, creating an image classifier for a fun app, or even developing a generative AI art project. Hands-on Workshops We'll host workshops on fundamental concepts and popular tools. From building your first linear regression model from scratch to train a neural network to using LLMs in your projects, we got you covered. Skill-Building Challenges Participate in coding challenges and competitions to test your knowledge. We'll run campaigns to practice on platforms like Kaggle or Hugging Face. What will we do next?

The AI revolution is here, creating a new wave of opportunities for everyone. It's time to jump on the bandwagon and learn how to build with AI before it's too late. Think AI isn't for you? Think again!

Join us on a journey into the world of open source, where collaboration drives innovation and every contribution helps build the future of technology. Contribute to Open Source Govt . Engineering College, Bilaspur

Transparency Openness allows for public scrutiny, leading to more robust and secure software solutions. Collaboration Sharing code fosters innovation and collective problem-solving among developers worldwide. Community It cultivates a global network of contributors united by a common goal. What is Open Source? Open source is a philosophy and a methodology that promotes building technology together, out in the open. It's the idea that when we share our code, everyone can learn from it, improve it, and build amazing things on top of it.

Real-World Impact Get your code into projects used by thousands, or even millions, of people around the globe. A Killer Portfolio Build a powerful GitHub profile that speaks for itself to recruiters, showcasing your practical skills. In-Demand Skills Learn Git, GitHub, code review, technical communication, and distributed team collaboration – skills every company wants. What You Will Gain

October: Hacktoberfest Kick-off & Contribution Sprints We will officially kick off our participation in the global Hacktoberfest celebration. We'll help you find projects, make your first contributions, and host weekly sprints to work together. February: Google Summer of Code (GSoC) Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is a global program where students contribute to open-source projects with mentorship and a stipend. December: Winter of Code Launch As the semester ends, we will launch our own internal contribution event to keep the momentum going. Abha Tiwari Pushpa Sahu Yamini Chandrakar App Dev. Team Members: Santosh Minj M Jayendra Kumar

App development is basically the process of creating applications (apps) that run on devices like smartphones, tablets, or even desktops. In short: it’s like cooking—but instead of food, you cook apps using code + creativity + caffeine. Common Frameworks / Tools. Depending on the type of app, developers use different frameworks: App Dev

Flex Points – You can say “I made an app” at parties, even if it only shows Hello World. Instant respect. High-Speed Googling – Your search history is basically: “why my code not working” in 47 different ways. Free Dark Circles – No need to buy kajal, late-night coding sessions got you covered. Sleep Cycle Reset – Congratulations! Your new timezone is called “Developer Standard Time” (DST). Why do we need App Dev ?

Praveen Kerketta IOT Lead Govt. Engineering College, Bilaspur

Rishabh Singh Pranjali soni Smriti Ghritlahare IOT Team Members: Jayprakash Monika Devengan

IoT (Internet of Things) is the network of everyday objects, like lights, watches, fridges, or cars that are connected to the internet and can collect, share, and act on data. In short: t’s when your devices start talking to each other, like your AC turning on automatically when the room gets hot, or your watch reminding you to walk because it knows you’ve been sitting too long. IoT

Because Automation is the New Smart – IoT means devices that think for you! Lights turn off when you leave, your AC adjusts automatically. Because We Want Everything in Real Time – IoT connects us to information instantly. Doctors track patients remotely. Because Safety Comes First – From smart locks and CCTV to fire and gas sensors, IoT keeps us protected. Because Data Makes Us Smarter – Every IoT device collects data — and that data tells powerful stories! Why do we need IoT ?

Manik Chand Sahu Cloud Lead Govt. Engineering College, Bilaspur

Rahul Dewangan Cloud Co-Lead Members: Cloud Team Abhishek Dewangan Tanvi Kashyap Heena Lahari Amitesh Toppo

Cloud computing is a technology that allows users to access and store data, applications, and services over the internet instead of on local computers or servers. It provides on-demand resources like storage, servers, and databases, making it easier for businesses and individuals to scale, collaborate, and reduce costs. Cloud

No more “It’s on my pen drive!” – The cloud saves your files even when your pen drive disappears into another dimension. Save money for snacks, not servers. – You pay only for what you use, just like Netflix for your apps. Instant upgrades! – Need more space? Poof! Just like magic (but powered by AWS). Work from anywhere. – Home, café, or even while “pretending” to study — just need internet. Disaster? No problem. – Cloud’s got backups even if your laptop decides to take a swim. Why do we Cloud ?

What is Cyber Security? Cyber Security is all about protecting devices, data, and people from digital attacks. It is the practice of protecting computers, networks, programs, and data from unauthorized access, attacks, damage, or theft. In simple terms, it’s about keeping digital systems safe from hackers, viruses, and other threats. Because your password123 deserves better!

Fake links, phishing mails, and data leaks are everywhere Even your Wifi isn’t as innocent as it looks . One wrong click = full system down Hackers don’t sleep Why Do We Need Cyber Security?
