Russian author, a master of realistic fiction and one of the world greatest novelist. He published the story “God sees the truth but waits’’ in the year 1872.

“ The God sees the truth, but waits’’ is a powerful story that reflects Tolstoy belief in forgiveness and redemption. It is a reflection of the biographical context in which Tolstoy was writing and his attitude towards social issues and the injustices of Russian society. The story remains relevant today because it highlights the importance of humility, forgiveness, and the capacity of the human spirit to endure and overcome adversity. BIOGRAPHICAL CONTEXT

Ivan Dmitrich Aksionov is falsely imprisoned for 26 years for a crime he did not commit but puts his trust in God.
