Grooming Standards Personal Hygiene Bathe regularly, use deodorant, maintain clean, well-groomed hair Avoid strong fragrances that may be distracting Neatly Trimmed Nails Keep nails clean and trimmed, avoid bright or distracting nail polish
Appropriate Attire Dress modestly and professionally, in line with the church's dress code Ensure clothes are clean, pressed, and well-fitting Attire for Male Church Leaders Suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt and tie Polished, conservative shoes Avoid loud patterns, bright colors, or excessive jewelry
Attire for Female Church Leaders Modest dresses, skirts, or pants with blouses Closed-toe, sensible shoes Minimal, neutral-toned jewelry and accessories Personal Grooming Habits Maintain good posture and a calm, confident demeanor Avoid habits that may be distracting, such as fidgeting or excessive gesturing Practice good vocal hygiene (e.g., avoid clearing throat, coughing, or sniffling)
