Color Psychology and Food Choices: An Exploration of the Impact of Color on Consumer Perception of EARIST Second-Year BS Psychology Students

Statement of the Problem: This study will focus on the behavior of the consumer’s perception in decision-making. Especially, it will seek to answer the following questions: What is the demographic profile of the respondents? Gender Age What is the impact of color on consumer perception of food choices? What are the factors affecting the consumer’s perception of food choices?

Rationale: Colors play a significant influence on our food choices as they can indicate the nutritional value and health benefits of different foods. Oranges, red peppers, and dark leafy greens are just a few examples of colorful fruits and vegetables that are ideal choices for a healthy diet since they are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. On the other hand, highly processed and artificially colored foods, such as candy and sugary drinks, contain little to no nutritional value and should be consumed in moderation. Oranges, red peppers, and dark leafy greens are just a few examples of colorful fruits and vegetables that are ideal choices for a healthy diet since they are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

The Impact of Reading on Smartphones Versus Reading on Books on the Study Habits of EARIST First-Year BS Psychology Students: An Experimental Study

Statement of the Problem: This study aims to know the impact of reading on smartphones versus reading books on the study habits of students. It will answer the following questions: What are the potential impacts of reading on smartphones on the study habits of students? What are the potential impacts of reading on books on the study habits of students?

Rationale: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of reading on books or in smartphone on student’s study habits. Reading is an essential part of learning, and how students read can have a big impact on their study habits. The retention, comprehension, and general academic achievement of kids can vary depending on whether they read on smartphones or books. Students now frequently turn to their smartphones and other digital devices for their reading resources. Studies have shown, however, that reading on a smartphone might have a negative effect on academic achievement, particularly in terms of comprehension and memory. This is because using a smartphone's digital format may induce distractions, eye strain, and a reduction in attention span. On the other hand, reading books has a beneficial effect on study habits. Increasing one's attention span, improving comprehension, and strengthening memory are the advantages of reading. Additionally, it helps in the development of analytical abilities, critical thinking abilities, and a deeper comprehension of the subject matter in discussion.

Images and Words: The Impact of Images on Word Recognition Memory among Kindergarten Pupils Enrolled at Bulihan Elementary School

Brief Background of the Study: Psychologists have been interested in exploring the relationship between images and words for a long time. One of the most notable findings in this area is the picture superiority effect, which suggests that images are more easily recognized and recalled than spoken or written words (Ensor et al., 2019). Although the literature has extensively discussed the nature and hypotheses underlying this effect, several theories remain relevant to the superior nature of pictures over words. Previous research has largely supported the notion that pictures enhance the comprehension of text and word processing. However, despite the abundance of information available on the impact of pictures on word processing, the influence of images on children's word recognition memory is still a relatively unexplored area of research.

Rationale: The purpose of this study is to further investigate the children's recognition memory for words when presented with accompanying images. The inclusion of pictures in word recognition is expected to either facilitate or interfere with the process due to their visual superiority. Majority of studies conducted on adults indicate that the inclusion of accompanying images facilitates cognitive processing of words. Previous studies also suggest that children may not possess the attentional mechanisms necessary to selectively extract relevant information from certain pictures while disregarding others. Consequently, presenting images alongside words to children may not reinforce their understanding of the words, but instead act as an interference from the word-level representation. Therefore, this study aims to build upon previous studies by examining the impact of images on word recognition memory of children.

Statement of the Problem: This study aims to examine children's recognition memory for words when presented with accompanying pictures. Specifically, the study aims to answer the following questions: What are the profiles of the respondents in terms of demographic characteristics? Age Gender What is the level of children's word recognition when accompanied by: Matching Image Neutral Image Unmatching Image Will images facilitate or interfere with the word recognition of children? What are the impacts of images on children's word recognition memory?

The Influence of Gender Stereotypes on Career Choice Among in College Students Of Eulogio " Amang " Rodriguez Institute Of Science And Technology-Cavite

Statement of the Problem: The statement of the problem is to investigate the influence of gender stereotypes on career choice among college students of Eulogio “ Amang ” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology-Cavite. Specifically, the study aims to: Determine the extent to which gender stereotypes influence career choice among college students in the institute. Examine the factors that contribute to the development and perpetuation of gender stereotypes among college students. Identify the types of careers that are most affected by gender stereotypes among college students of the institute. Evaluate the impact of gender stereotypes on the academic performance and career aspirations of college students. Develop recommendations for addressing gender stereotypes and promoting gender equality in career choices among college students at the institute

Rationale: The influence of gender stereotypes on career choice is a significant issue that affects individuals in various aspects of their lives. This issue is particularly relevant in the context of college students, who are at a crucial stage in their lives when they are making decisions about their future careers. The Eulogio “ Amang ” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology-Cavite is a higher education institution where students are expected to make informed decisions about their career paths. However, the influence of gender stereotypes on career choices may prevent students from making choices that align with their interests, skills, and abilities. Gender stereotypes are deeply ingrained in society, and they affect how individuals perceive themselves and others. These stereotypes are often reinforced by media, peers, and family members, and they can influence individuals’ career choices. For example, men are often stereotyped as being more suited for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), while women are often encouraged to pursue careers in fields such as education, nursing, or social work. These stereotypes can limit individuals’ career choices and prevent them from pursuing careers that they are passionate about.

The study on the influence of gender stereotypes on career choice among college students of Eulogio “ Amang ” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology-Cavite is important because it can provide insights into how gender stereotypes affect career decisions among students. The study can also identify strategies that can be used to address gender stereotypes and promote gender equality in career choices. Ultimately, the study can contribute to the development of policies and programs that support students in making informed career choices that are based on their interests, skills, and abilities, rather than on gender stereotypes.

Effects of Extrinsic Rewards on Motivation of First-Year BS Psychology Students at Eulogio " Amang " Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology - Cavite

Statement of the Problem This study aims to know the effects of extrinsic rewards on the motivation of the students. What is the impact of extrinsic rewards on students' motivation? How effective is extrinsic motivation? Does extrinsic rewards make the students more competitive?

Rationale An extrinsic reward is a tangible and visible reward given to an individual or an employee for achieving something. They usually have monetary value such as a salary hike, bonus, award, or public recognition. In a recent study, it was said that tangible rewards tended to be more detrimental for children than for college students, and verbal rewards tended to be less enhancing for children than for college students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of extrinsic rewards on college student motivation. The goal of this research is to see if extrinsic rewards are more appropriate for young adults or college students than for youngsters. It is critical to understand the potential for extrinsic rewards to motivate kids so that we can determine which technique is most effective.
