sports include snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing,
wakeboarding, SUP, flyboarding, and fishing.
WHAT IS WATER SPORTS?
FUN WATER SPORTS AND
ACTIVITIES TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE
1 .Canyoning
The activity of canyoning, also known as
canyoneering, is employing a range of
maneuvers, such as abseiling, climbing, sliding,
and jumping, to make your way through a
narrow ravine with a fast-moving mountain
stream. A water channel formed a natural valley
known as the canyon out of the mountainside
2. Flyboarding
Flyboarding is an extreme water sport in which
athletes compete using equipment called
flyboards. A flyboard can be best described as
a personal watercraft fitted with a water
jetpack/hoverboard.
3. Kayaking
Kayaking is the practice of paddling a kayak
through water. A kayak is a low-to-the-water,
canoe-like craft in which the paddler sits facing
forward with their legs in front and rotates their
pulling motion from front to rear, using a
double-bladed paddle.
4. Wakeboarding
In the water sport of wakeboarding, a
participant who is standing on a wakeboard is
pulled behind a motorboat over the wake and,
in particular, up off the crest to do aerial tricks.
Wakeboarding is known for its attempts at
performing stunts in midair.
5. Skimboarding
Skimboarding or skimming is a boardsport in
which a skimboard is used to glide across the
water's surface to meet an incoming breaking
wave, and ride it back to shore. Wave-riding
skimboarders perform a variety of surface and
air maneuvers, at various stages of their ride,
out to, and back with, the wave.
6. Surfing
Surfing involves standing on a surfboard that
has been carefully made and riding a wave that
is breaking. Nothing compares to the thrill of
riding a breaking wave, one of nature's
powerful forces. You can use that power to
propel yourself along the wave and execute a
number of maneuvers.
7. Jet Skiing
Jet Ski racing is a water sport similar to
powerboat racing, in which riders use jet skis to
compete. The sport is mostly practiced at a
recreational level in several countries around
the world.
8. Snorkeling
The activity of snorkeling involves swimming on
or through a body of water while wearing a
diving mask, a snorkel-shaped breathing tube,
and typically swimfins. Wearing a wetsuit is also
possible in colder water.
9. Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving
whereby divers use breathing equipment that is
completely independent of a surface air supply.
The name "scuba", an acronym for "Self-
Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus",
was coined by Christian J. Lambertsen in a
patent submitted in 1952.
10. Parasailing
A person is pulled behind a vehicle while linked
to a specially made canopy wing that mimics a
parachute, known as a parasail wing.
Parasailing is also known as parascending,
paraskiing, or parakiting. The moving anchor for
the manned kite might be a car, truck,
