Notary Public are Notaries. As a Notary Public we are proven integrity appointed by the government to serve the public as an impartial witness. The main functions are to detect and deter fraud and to facilitate the workings of commerce and law by lending creditability to sensitive signed documents. The acts that we perform are called notarial acts or notarizations. State law defines how they may be performed. In general, Notaries have the authority to perform the following acts:

Certified Loan Signing Agents are Notaries. However, they have an extra certification that allows them to facilitate the signings of real estate loan closings. Typically, they meet with signers only for real estate transactions such as home purchases, refinances and when someone sells their home too.
