Introduction Since ages, The earliest recorded use of the term was in 1577. The  word research  is  derived  from the Middle French " recherche ", which means "to go about seeking“. Research-Types: Qualitative & Quantitative, others. Research stand for R=Review E=Evaluate S=Scientific inquiry E=Ethical A=Academic impact R=Recent views C=Clinical correlation H=Highlight finding The systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

Mini projects (Mini Research) Pivotal steps: Selection of Department & Guide. Selection of Project T opics Literature Survey Procedure/Protocol based on Standard M ethods Performing of Protocol Result/Data Collection Thesis/Thesis presentation Publication, if possible

1. Selection of Department & Guide Knowledge Interest Should be able to produce or generate report/data Working environment Guide: Most important parameter Sound knowledge regarding the field of study Easy approachable Cooperative or helpful nature towards the students

2 . Selection of Project Topic Should not be too difficult/impossible type Should not be controversy or contradict with other well established topics Should highlight the main content of the work Should content the main methods/protocol discussed in the work

3 . Literature survey Crucial step Work will be totally based on how you’ll do the literature survey Plant profile, activity protocols, sampling, etc. Must include the Authenticated sources : Elsevier, P ubmed , S ciencedirect , S pringer, W iley, B enthem , Sage, etc. Well established data providers

4 . Standard methods Followed well established procedure/protocol Strictly adhere to the protocol discussed in the method Sometimes, if needed or developed by new research work then you can modify the method but not the whole method .

5 . Performing the protocol In the designated laboratory Calibration of instruments By following the scientific procedure Start one method and try your best to complete the method in one go Avoid performing the random methods Record the protocol in your separate log book/diary

6 . Result and data collection Avoid manipulating the data Try 3-4 times of your one experimental procedure to get the mean values(repeated fashion) Record the same report/data in the thesis also

7 . Thesis/Thesis presentation Front content Cover page: Attractive-well front page with Thesis title & college logo Department & Guide names Student details: Name & Roll.
