1. Digitalization to Empower Community TAMANSARI HARMONY

2. Historical Landmark in Cosmological Axis of Yogyakarta Tamansari, yang berarti taman yang indah, pada mulanya merupakan sebuah taman atau kebun istana Keraton Yogyakarta. Kompleks ini dibangun secara bertahap pada masa Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I. Taman ini dijuluki  Water Kasteel  karena kolam-kolam dan unsur air yang mengelilinginya. Disebut juga sebagai  The Fragrant Garden  karena pohon-pohon dan bunga-bunga yang harum ditanam di kebun-kebun sekitar bangunan . Tamansari sendiri didirikan di atas sebuah  umbul   atau mata air yang dikenal dengan nama  Umbul Pacethokan . Di kompleks Tamansari terdapat dua buah danau buatan, disebut sebagai  segaran . Kata  segaran  berasal dari kata  segara  yang berarti lautan. Satu berada di sisi timur dengan pulau buatan di tengahnya yang bernama  Pulo Gedhong , dan satu berada di sisi barat dengan pulau buatan di tengahnya yang bernama  Pulo Kenanga . Kedua segaran ini dihubungkan dengan sebuah kanal yang memotong lorong penghubung  Plataran Magangan  dan  Plataran Kamandhungan Kidul . Kebun berisi aneka tanaman buah tumbuh rimbun mengapit kanal tersebut. Selain difungsikan sebagai tempat rekreasi, nampaknya Tamansari juga memiliki fungsi pertahanan dan fungsi religi. Fungsi pertahanan tampak pada tembok keliling yang tebal dan tinggi, gerbang yang dilengkapi tempat penjagaan, dan  bastion  atau  tulak bala  sebagai tempat menaruh persenjataan. Selain itu terdapat beberapa  urung-urung  atau jalan bawah tanah yang menghubungkan satu tempat ke tempat lain. Juga posisi bangunan  Pulo Kenanga  yang tinggi, diduga difungsikan sebagai tempat peninjauan apabila musuh datang. Fungsi religi ditunjukkan dari adanya bangunan  Sumur Gumuling  dan  Pulo Panembung .  Sumur Gumuling  yang berbentuk melingkar difungsikan sebagai masjid, sedang  Pulo Panembung  digunakan oleh Sultan sebagai tempat untuk bermeditasi. Kedua bangunan ini berada di tengah kolam  Segaran , tampak menyembul di tengah bentangan air yang luas. TAMANSARI
