Describe the problem statement (200 words) Women across the world face safety threats in various situations, often lacking quick and reliable ways to seek help or alert others in emergencies. Despite advances in technology, there is still a gap in real-time solutions that provide immediate support, location tracking, and community-based assistance during critical situations. Furthermore, there is a need for platforms that not only offer protection but also promote awareness of safety laws and empowerment resources. The challenge is to create an accessible and comprehensive solution that allows women to: 1. Quickly alert others when they are in danger. 2. Share their live location with trusted contacts and nearby users. 3. Communicate in emergencies through a reliable messaging system. 4. Receive automated chatbot assistance to guide them through safety procedures during emergencies. 5. Stay informed about women’s safety laws and relevant news. 6. Connect with a supportive community for ongoing protection and empowerment. This app addresses these challenges by offering real-time alerts, emergency features, automated chatbot support, and a community-driven platform to ensure the safety and security of women in all environments.

Proposed solution / your big Idea (200 words) The "Women Safety" app is designed to enhance the safety of women through real-time alerts, emergency communication, and community support. Users sign in, grant permissions (location, camera, contacts), and access five key pages: 1. YOU – A profile page where users can manage personal info, share experiences, quotes, and provide feedback through a suggestions box . 2. DANGER – An emergency alert system with options to send calls, messages, images, and live location during critical situations. Automated chatbots provide immediate guidance, suggesting the best course of action or connecting users to assistance based on the type of emergency. 3. CHATS – A messaging platform for both emergency and social communication, allowing users to connect with the community or provide assistance. 4. EMERGENCY CONTACTS – A list of emergency contacts, including officials and trusted personal contacts, for quick alerts. 5. NOTIFICATIONS – A feed of news, posts, and updates on women’s safety laws, along with community-driven discussions . The app empowers women by providing real-time safety tools, automated chatbot assistance in emergencies, and fostering a supportive community.

Firebase Authentication – For secure user sign-in and authentication. Firebase Realtime Database/ Firestore – For real-time data storage and syncing of profiles, chats, and alerts. Google Maps API – For live location sharing, tracking, and mapping during emergencies. Firebase Cloud Messaging – For sending push notifications and emergency alerts. Permissions API – To manage app permissions for location, camera, and contacts. SQLite – For offline storage of user data and emergency contacts. Retrofit/Volley – For HTTP requests to fetch news, posts, and other content. Google Cloud Functions – For handling backend logic, automated chatbot responses, and processing tasks. Encryption – To secure data transmission and protect user privacy. Camera API – For sending images during emergency situations. Geofencing API – To trigger location-based alerts for users in danger zones. Automated Chatbot ( Dialogflow /Google Cloud AI) – Provides real-time assistance during emergencies, guiding users on the best actions to take, such as alerting contacts, sharing location, or sending messages.

(150 words) PATENT FILED: Yes (half implemented) Do you have a working model/prototype: Yes If not, will you be able to show working prototype during finale. Yes The app features five key sections: YOU, DANGER, CHATS, EMERGENCY CONTACTS, and NOTIFICATIONS. Users can personalize profiles, send emergency alerts, and share live locations when in danger. In case of a dropped phone, the app automatically notifies nearby users, displaying the locations of both the distressed user and responders. A "safe" button allows users to confirm resolution after an incident. Additionally, an automated chatbot provides real-time assistance, guiding users on emergency actions. Users can chat, manage emergency contacts, and stay updated on women's safety laws and news. With privacy controls and customizable alerts, the app empowers women to connect with a trusted network, creating a secure and supportive environment in daily life and emergencies.
