Cashless and Contactless Ecosystem for Government Buyers to
Directly Purchase Products & Services from Pan-India Sellers &
Service Providers Through an End-To-End Online Platform. with
an Intent of Promoting Green Procurement, the Platform Rolled
Out the Product Category for Procurement of Green Room Air
Conditions in 2021. Since Then, Various Products & Services Have
Been Rolled Out on the Platform with the Clear Objective of
Achieving Environmental Sustainability

3. In Fy 22-23, the Portal Introduced Lease Hiring of Electric
Vehicles Services, Including Operations and Maintenance. the
Portal’s Diverse Repository of Offerings Include Energy Efficient
Services Namely, Energy Conservation and Energy Audit Services.
Waste Management Services Like Collection and Disposal of
Waste, Especially Biomedical Waste, Were Also Rolled Out on
the Platform. in Addition to Extending Water Conservation
Services to Users.

4. India’s Commitment to Achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2030 Has
Seen an Increase in Demand for Services Such as Hiring of
Consulting Agency for Achieving Climate Action Targets, Which
Are Already Available on Gem. Further, the Government of
India's Mission to Achieve 30% of Electric Vehicles by 2025 Has
Led to a Rise in Procurement of Leasing of Electric Vehicles

Scrap Material. Responsible Recycling Vendors Have Been Enlisted
on the Portal to Ensure Environment-Friendly Disposal of Scrap.
