How to Create Badges & Challenges in Odoo 17

Odoo 17 offers a built-in "Employees" module that allows us to implement a gamification system using badges and challenges to motivate and recognize our employees' achievements.

This slide provides a functional guide on how to create and manage b adges and challenges in Odoo 17.

3. Enterprise Enable the Gamification Module First, ensure that the gamification module is installed and enabled in our Odoo instance. We can check this by going to Settings → Apps and searching for the "Gamification" module. If it's not installed, we can install it from there.

Cr eate Badges Go to Employee → Configuration → Badges Click on New to create a new badge Fill in the details such as Name, Description, Allowance to Grant, Monthly Limit,Level(Gold,Silver, Bronze) and Rewards. We can also specify the Goal for which the badge will be awarded. Set the badge's Image and other relevant fields Save the badge

6. Enterprise 3. Create Challenges Challenges in the Gamification module define the conditions or objectives that employees need to achieve to earn badges or points. Go to Employee → Configuration → Challenges Click on Create to create a new challenge Fill in the Name, User domain to assign challenges, Period of automatic goal assignment, Responsible, start date and end date etc.

10. Enterprise We can suggest this challenge to users in the Subscription section of the Advanced tab. In the Notification Messages section, we can set the report frequency, report template, and select the user group to receive a copy of the report.

12. Enterprise 4. Assign Goals and Badges to Employees Go to Employees → Employees Open an employee record In the Received badges tab, we can assign specific goals and badges to the employee

13. Enterprise 5. Track Progress and Achievements Employees can view their assigned goals, progress, and earned badges in their user profile As an administrator, we can track employee progress and achievements through the Gamification app.
