2. Introduction Enterpr ise This slide will show how to manage scraping of product in Odoo 17 manufacturing. Scrap during manufacturing refers to the unusual products or components that is left or the product that fails to meet the quality during the manufacturing process. We can scrap the component before manufacturing the product or when the manufacturing is ongoing from the shop floor or from the manufacturing work centers.

3. Enterprise Let’s see how to manage scrap orders in manufacturing . Go to the Manufacturing > Operations > Scrap Orders.

4. Enterprise We can scrap the item while manufacturing or we can also scrap the entire product once the manufacturing is finished. This is because certain components may be damaged or cannot be used for the manufacturing process.

5. Enterprise Let’s create a manufacturing order.

6. Enterprise Select the product and the Bill of Material for the order. Specify the quantity of the products for the manufacturing. We can also specify the scheduled date, end date and also the responsible user. The operations for the manufacturing orders on the workcenters will be viewed under the work center tab. Then confirm the order by clicking on the Confirm button.

7. Enterprise We can plan the order by clicking on the Plan button.

8. Enterprise If one of the material were scarp, we can scrap the component by clicking on the Scrap button.

9. Enterprise Select the scrap product and specify the quantity for the scrap. We can do the process by clicking on the Scrap Products button.

10. Enterprise We can see that one scrap order is created for the component.

11. Enterprise We can see the reference, date of scrapping, quantity and the locations. And the status of the scrap order is in Done state.

12. Enterprise We can also scrap the item even after the manufacturing process is completed. We can start the operation by clicking on the Start button.

13. Enterprise We can’t do the process if we haven’t completed the quality check. And there shows a warning popup.

14. Enterprise Go to the shopfloor and we need to manage with the quality check of the product. Open the work center that is Assembly Line 1.

15. Enterprise We need to configure the operations .

16. Enterprise We can also do these process from here .

17. Enterprise Close the shop floor once the process are done . Open the manufacturing order and click on the Done button to perform the operation

18. Enterprise If we need to scrap the entire product we can click on the Scrap button . Choose the pro duct, quantity, location and scrap the product.

19. Enterprise We can see that the scrap order is created.

20. Enterprise We can see the reference, product,quantity and locations of the scrap order. And the state is in Done state.

21. Enterprise Open the product moves and we can see all the movements of the product in the order.

22. Enterprise The scrapping will helps us to manage the amount of waste generated during the particular product and also improves the efficiency in manufacturing. This is how we can manage the scraping of products in Odoo 17 manufacturing.
