(HPAIR), a non-profit organization that operates the largest student-run conference in Asia, it
is with great pleasure we offer our strongest recommendation for Khandakar Murtaz. We had
the pleasure of connecting with Khandakar at our annual conference and believe they would
make a fantastic addition to your team!
As a distinguished HPAIR Scholar under our Gold Delegate Programme, Khandakar was an
active participant in our 2021 HPAIR Harvard College conference, an international forum
founded in 1991 to create an exchange for students and young professionals to discuss and
learn about the most important economic, political, and social issues facing the Asia-Pacific
region. Our evaluations team conducts a rigorous screening process to select top delegates
from around the world — but even from a pool of 9100 applications, Khandakar’s stood out
from the beginning. The 2021 Harvard College Conference featured world leaders including
the CEO of McKinsey & Company, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, the
Former Prime Minister of Thailand, the “Oprah of China”, the Inventor of Siri, the Former CTO
of the World Bank, the Chairman of Roche, and many other world leaders. Over the course of
four dynamic days, Khandakar Murtaz connected with these speakers directly and engaged
with over 2200 young leaders dedicated to advancing the world stage.
We commend Khandakar for their active participation and leadership during the conference,
consistently exceeding our expectations for what it means to be a true team player and
engaged learner. It is no understatement to say Khandakar was out of the ordinary amongst
the delegate pool of 2200 people, as Khandakar networked diligently with our keynote
speakers and executive masterclass hosts and drew valuable lessons from the experience.

2. To facilitate deeper conversations with world leaders, Khandakar also participated in HPAIR
executive seminars, an exclusive opportunity to have small group interactive discussion
with speakers, compared to other HPAIR Harvard conference events which have thousands
of delegates in attendance. During these private seminars, Khandakar led discussion topics
and drove meaningful conversations forward on issues surrounding global development,
asking questions to advance notable topics and creating a welcoming atmosphere for other
delegates to participate. We are confident Khandakar has outstanding potential to grow into a
global leader.
Throughout the conference, Khandakar Murtaz delighted our team and networked personally
with top talent to gain insight to our professional and academic experience. Each year, we
handpick our HPAIR staff from Harvard College students with an acceptance rate of <30%.
These Harvard undergraduates are joined by top students and past HPAIR alumni as the
organizing team. Our team has nothing but praise for Khandakar and was delighted by the
level of professionalism, maturity, and profound thought demonstrated.
