Hygiene : Hygiene refers to practices and conditions that promote and maintain cleanliness,health and well- being. Hygiene of fish culture : Refers to the practices and measures taken to maintain cleanliness and health in fish farming or aqua culture. It insures clean water quality, proper sanitation of equipments , regular monitoring Of fish health and waste management.
Importance of hygiene:
Equipments used in fish culture : Fish tanks or aquarium . Filters Air pumps or air stones for aeration. Heaters or chillers to maintain water temperature. Lightning system. Nets for handling and transferring fish .
Thermometers to monitor water temperature. Water testing kits to check water parameters. Boats
General guidelines about hygiene in equipments : Some general methods used in hygiene of equipments used in fish culture. Fish tanks : Clean the tank regularly by removing any debris , Uneaten food and algae.
