1977 ICICI sponsored the formation of Housing Development Finance Corporation . Managed its first equity public issue. 1986 The Corporation made a public issue of Swiss Franc 75 million in Switzerland, the first public issue by any Indian entity in the Swiss Capital Market . ICICI , along with UTI, set up Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited, India's first professional credit rating agency. 1987 Promoted TDICI - India's first venture capital company .

1996 ICICI Ltd. became the first company in the Indian financial sector to raise GDR . Mr. K.V.Kamath (1996-2009) appointed the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Ltd. 1987 ICICI Asset Management Company set up. 1994 ICICI Bank set up to foray into Retail Banking business. 2000 ICICI Bank became the first commercial bank from India to list its stock on NYSE

2002 ICICI Bank is the "Bank of the Year 2002 - The Banker. ICICI Ltd merged with ICICI Bank Ltd to create India’s second largest bank in terms of assets. 2004 Best Bank by “Business India” 2007 Amalgamation with Sangali Bank. 2009 Chanda Kochar takes over as Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank starts operations in Germany

2010 Amalgamation with Bank of Rajasthan. ICICI Bank opened 2000 th branch. Launched ICICI Trinity (Ideate, prototype, Be an Entrepreneur) 2012 Launched official page on Facebook .
