WHAT IS G20 G20 is an intergovernmental forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union. G20 was founded in 1999 in response to several world economic crises. G20 accounts for 80% of world trade, 90% of GWP, 92% OF R&D. G20 covers two- third of the world population and approximately half of the land area. The G20 Presidency steers the G20 agenda for one year and hosts the Summit The G20 consists of two parallel tracks: the  Finance Track  and the  Sherpa Track .

Benefits to India India has the potential to become the leading exporter of millets to G20 countries. Millets have emerged as a key solution to addressing food security, and are imported by many G20 countries. The G20 opens the gate to consider crop diversification and introducing millets into agriculture and diets. It creates many entrepreneurs in our country. G20 helps INDIA in :- E nergizing of the international economy. A vailability of greater resources for development. E xpansion of tourism. G lobal workplace opportunities. S tronger food security through millet production and consumption. A deeper commitment to biofuels are among the prominent outcomes of the G20 Summit that will benefit the entire nation.
