Cont... The airport was operated by the Indian Air Force Its management was transferred to the airports authority of India. In May 2006, the management of the airport was passed over to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a public-private consortium led by GMR group. DIAL - a joint venture of Indian govt. and GMR group (PPP)
Costing & Expenditure The original project cost approved by DIAL and communicated to AAI on 18 January 2008 was INR 8975 crores The actual project cost went up to INR 12857 crores The final project cost adopted by Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) for arriving at the Regulatory Asset Base (RAB) was 12502.86 crores
