UNESCO describes ICT as a diverse set of tools enabling transmission, storage, creation, sharing, or exchange of information—this includes computers, internet platforms, broadcasting technologies, and mobile/telephony What is ICT?

ICT vs. IT ICT generally includes IT as well as telecommunications, media systems, and infrastructure that facilitate communication—making ICT broader in scope IT focuses specifically on computing (hardware, software, networks), while ICT encompasses additional elements like telecoms, broadcasting systems, intelligent building systems, and multimedia environments
