ImportanceofSustainableAgriculturePractices

Integratedfarmingmaybedefinedassequentiallinkagesbetweentwoormoreagri-
relatedfarmingactivitieswithonefarmingasmajorcomponent.Whenfishbecomes
themajorcommodityinthesystemitistermedasintegratedfishfarming(IFF).
Theintegrationoffishfarmingwithagricultureandanimalhusbandryisconsideredas
sustainablefarmingsystem,whichoffersgreaterefficiencyinresourceutilization,
reducesriskbydiversifyingcrop,andprovidesadditionalincomeandfoodforsmallscale
farminghousehold.
