INTELLIGENT STUDENTS TRACKING SYSTEM IN CAMPUS RF
abstract With the rapid increase in the number of institutions as well as number of students in every institution, it is very difficult to monitor whether the students are attending the classes as per the time table or not. Even the students are in the campus but not present in the classes during the class hour. In the existing system, presence of students in the class is being monitored by taking attendance manually in the class. In this paper, we propose an intelligent student tracking system based on RF wireless network. The proposed system reads the RF transmitter and RF receiver, and then sends it to admin mobile node by a custom wireless protocol on the Bluetooth 2.4ghz channle. Here each and every student is assigned with different RF tags with individual tags numbers and the RF readers are placed in campus at different locations which identifies the persons coming to that location by reading RF tag numbers of the students and intimates to the control room about their status.
introduction As the number of institutions as well as the number of students in each institution is increasing it is harder to monitor the presence of students in class during the class hours. In existing system students should be monitored continuously whether they are attending the classes or not manually in the classes by means of taking attendance but there are many chances of student escaping from different ways. In the proposed paper, an intelligent campus student tracking system will be designed and implemented based on the RF and Bluetooth network which keeps track of where the student moves with in the campus. The system reads the RF tags data through RF re ceiver , and then sends it to mpbile app node by a custom wireless protocol using Bluetooth.

Rectifier- Converts AC to DC ,but DC output is varying. Smoothing- smoothens the DC from varying greatly to a small ripple. Regulator-Eliminates ripple by setting DC output to a fixed voltage.
Component Description Arduino Uno Arduino Uno is an ATmega 328p Microcontroller based prototyping board. It is an open source electronic prototyping platform that can be used with various sensors and actuators. Arduino Uno has 14 digital I/O pins out of which 6 pins are used in this project.
LED LEDs are semiconductor devices. Like transistors, and other diodes, LEDs are made out of silicon. What makes an LED give off light there are the small amounts of chemical impurities that are added to the silicon, such as gallium, arsenide, indium, and nitride. When current passes through the LED, it emits photons as a byproduct. Normal light bulbs produce light by heating a metal filament until it's white hot. Because LEDs produce photons directly and not via heat, they are far more efficient than incandescent bulbs.
PCB Printed circuit board(pcb) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from cooper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. PCBs can be single sided(one copper layer),double sided(two copper layers) or multi layer(outer and inner layers).
REGUL A T O R : A voltage regulator is an electrical regulator designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level. we are using LM7805 regulator in this project .it may be used to regulate one or more AC or DC voltages .
rf module T ransmission through RF is better than IR (infrared) because of many reasons. Firstly, signals through RF can travel through larger distances making it suitable for long range applications. Also, while IR mostly operates in line-of-sight mode, RF signals can travel even when there is an obstruction between transmitter & receiver. Next, RF transmission is more strong and reliable than IR transmission. RF communication uses a specific frequency unlike IR signals which are affected by other IR emitting sources.

CONCLUSION As seen from the results, with the intelligent Campus Student Tracking System, we can track and maintain a history of the student’s movement in various locations within the campus, during class hours. This in-turn helps in improves the attendance of students in class room during class hours.
