HEAT EXCHANGER Sebastian Villalba Casadiegos-181933
¿WHAT IS HEAT EXCHANGER? A heat exchanger is a device designed to transfer heat between two fluids or between a fluid and a solid medium. Its main function is to facilitate the transfer of heat from a hot substance to a colder one, or vice versa, in order to control the temperature of fluids or recover thermal energy.
FUNCIONALITY Hot fluid enters the exchanger through a designated inlet and flows through tubes inside the casing. As the hot fluid circulates through the tubes, it transfers heat to the walls of the tubes, warming them. The cold fluid enters the exchanger shell and flows around the tubes. As cold fluid passes near the heated tubes, heat is transferred from the walls of the tubes to the cold fluid through the tube material. The cold now hot fluid exits the exchanger through a designated outlet.
AREAS OF APLICATION
CONCLUSIONS In summary, heat exchangers play a fundamental role in optimizing industrial processes, improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs. Their continuous evolution and technological development allow us to address current challenges related to energy efficiency, sustainability and resource conservation, making them key components in the search for solutions for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
