Intermediate Colors

Outcome: We will review the color wheel . We will discuss and review color schemes . We will learn about the intermediate colors so that we can use them in a painting. We will identify intermediate colors in our own and in other’s artwork. We will plan and produce a four season painting using intermediate colors .

Intermediate Colors

Intermediate colors are the "third" category of color.  They are made by mixing a primary and a secondary color together.  As you look at a color wheel, intermediate colors are made by combining the primary and secondary color that are NEXT TO one another on the wheel.   Their names are always a combination of these two types of hues, the primary color always being first.
