BENEFITS OF IOT

BENEFITS OF IOT:
1. Disaster management:
With the smart devices enabled with the internet of things are able to know
about the forest fires and other calamities with the fine-grained accuracy all the time.
Smart devices can efficiently handle the situation of these and even can also let know
before begin informing the containment team timely so that they can respond quickly
and efficiently as well.
The smart disaster management system also applies the aftermath of the avalanches,
mudslides as well as earthquakes.
2. Urban management:
Increasing traffic is one of the most growing concerns among the developing
nations and handling these is an issue that is not possible to manage efficiently by the
administration.
So IoT devices can play a vital role in the automating of traffic management
that can adequately notice and command the flow of traffic.
In the smart management system, the parking application efficiently guides the people for
parking of cars to open places and also eliminates the possibility of wasted time &
energy.
It also mitigates the waste that exceeds the inclinations of the current system greatly.

3. Smart healthcare:
IoT devices have been implemented in the health sector in a great number and they
are producing exemplary results as well.
Wearable devices implemented in the health sector have the capability of detecting various
health problems at a time and even they can also inform before its occurrence.
After the detection of the particular disease, these devices inform family members
immediately to control it. These devices also provide detailed information about the drugs to
the responders.
4. Interactive performance:
With the help of effective data analytics, you can efficiently interact with others in
real-time. Besides, location, timing, and searching type can also be tracked by the company
to know about the real need of the customers.
Here, it can be said that the dynamic interactions are created through the internet of
things devices with the demonstration in multiple sizes at a time.
5. Superior functionalities:
After the IoT devices usage, advanced features give pleasant experiences to the
users that are almost equal to the mobile payment.
Great functionalities of the internet of things devices help in the execution of efficient
operation during various stages.

6. Convenient usage:
Smart devices enabled with the IoT feature are becoming more popular these
days and the most common reason about it is the suitable control.
Many IoT devices are implemented in your home that helps in making it smarter. For
example, a smart refrigerator and Amazon Dash Board button are some examples of
internet of things implementation that can record items to inform earlier.
Thus the internet of things helps people drastically in making their life easier
and thus also saves time.
Future of IoT (Internet of Things):
Everyone wants things to be done very fast and automatic. Now a day’s each one thinks
about controlling things remotely with the internet i.e.

Internet of things (IoT).

IOT ARCHITECTURE:

EXAMPLES OF IOT:
Internet of things is based on four simple building blocks also called IoT architecture layers
1) Sensors
2) Internet of Things (IoT) framework & gateway
3) cloud server
4) mobile app

EXAMPLES OF IOT:
1.Sensors
Sensors are everywhere, sensors sense data from the atmosphere or place. the eg.
 temperature
sensor
senses temperature from the room and shares it through IoT gateway.
Sensors will sniff a wide variety of information ranging from Location, Weather/Environment conditions, running
machine, from the human body, engine maintenance data to health essentials of a vehicle.
IoT Gateways & frameworks
As the name rightly explains, it is a gateway to the internet for all the things/devices that we want to
interact with. Gateways act as a carrier between the internal network of sensor nodes with the external Internet or
World Wide Web.
They do this by collecting the data from sensor nodes and transmitting them to the internet infrastructure.
Cloud server
The data transmitted through the gateway is stored & processed securely within the cloud server i.e. in
data centers.
This processed data is then used to perform intelligent actions that make all our devices Smart
Devices. In the cloud, all analytics and decision making happen considering user comfort.

EXAMPLES OF IOT:
Mobile applications
The intuitive mobile apps will help end-users to control & monitor their devices (ranging from the room thermostat
to vehicle engines) from remote locations.
These apps push important information from the cloud on your smart phones, tablets.
After analytics, Information is in the form of graphs, bars and in pi-diagram and display to the user in a user-
friendly manner.
From mobile application, we can send a command to sensors to change default values, like changing default
temperature of air conditioner and many more.
Conclusion
IoT Architecture is nothing but working on Connected things. It has four basic building blocks,
Sensors, IoT gateway, Cloud Server and Mobile apps.
As the name suggests, Sensors sense the data. This data store at Cloud server and intelligent decisions take place
here. IoT gateway is a carrier for this data and Finally Mobile apps for user to see and access data.

ADVANTAGES OF IOT :
Improved efficiency and automation of tasks.
Increased convenience and accessibility of information.
Better monitoring and control of devices and systems.
Greater ability to gather and analyze data.
Cost savings.

DISADVANTAGES OF IOT :
1.SMART CITIES Security concerns and potential for hacking or data breaches.
2. Privacy issues related to the collection and use of personal data.
3. Dependence on technology and potential for system failures.
4. Limited standardization and interoperability among devices.
5. Complexity and increased maintenance requirements.
6. High initial investment costs.
7. Limited battery life on some devices.
8. Concerns about job displacement due to automation.
